Hello all, recent joiner to this forum although a member for a year or so. Looks a great community!

I've just picked up a Stage 1 Kit for my 1200 Sport 2V as it was "the right price". I've noticed the velocity stacks are unfiltered so not an option so I would appreciate any guidance from those that may be running the same system or have looked to open up the air flow a little. I do have 2 new K&N Filters in boxes that came as a box of bits I bought off a guy on the old Sport 1200 forum as an option to run also.

As an aside, I'm not looking for optimum performance gains, just the most practical and least complicated approach for a little more air to match the more open pipes and new ECU. The Airbox is currently bog stock and I'm running an Agostini Can.

Many thanks,

Trevor

Trevor, just catching this, and I'll send you a direct e-mail. The "Stage I" kit is a misnomer, most noticeably is the ECU has zero difference between it and a stock ECU, so caveat emptor/be aware. Secondly, as noted above, my CNC air box lid & BMC filter; https://www.guzzitech.com/store/produc ... pathway-36 - works better at low/mid throttle then the pod filters, and really doesn't loose much of any power on top compared to the pod filters. I highly recommend it along with your Stg I mufflers, and a *correctly* modified ECU. Happy to be of help/service.

Many thanks Todd for the heads up on the ECU and ideas on the air box, I'll check out your link! My bikes ECU has in fact already been re flashed by a good local resource and improvements felt (smoother throttle response and less popping) so I will fit the pipes, do the air box mod and take it back to him to run some numbers. I know he has a few maps to play with and it can be a personal thing as to where the improvements are wanted and felt. He's a ride it and tell me if you like it kind of tech rather than offering "performance" upgrades which is how I like it.

Thanks again for the link, sounds like the best option for me to go with!

Cheers, Trevor
