Greetings from Brisbane Australia. Two issues. Top line of the dash the red triangular warning light flashes occasionally. Not on the rev limiter and travelling straight and level with a steady throttle. No change to engine. Been on and off for the last 20,000 km. Second issue noticed this evening was on the same line but top left hand a circular red light glowing very faintly even with ignition off. I think it is the anti theft light but never noticed it before today. Should I be concerned? Bike has 38000km over last 15 months. Cheers from Down Under. Blue

My 2009 has a bogus anti-theft light that just occasionally blinks. Never noticed a glow.

It the settings, with the clock and such, you can set the red triangle to start blinking at certain RPM as a shift indicator. I think it goes as low as 5500 RPM. You may just need to bump that up.

I have also had my warning light flash a couple of times. It was not the shift indicator that you can set as Wayne had mentioned. Steady idle, around 3200 RPM which I believe happens to be in the leanest part of the fuel curve. I will get a bit of a lean surge in 6th gear at those RPMs and noticed the light flicker for about 2 seconds (not all the time, but did catch it a couple of times) Nothing that I am really worried about. Attributed to a hickup in the ECU becuase it did not like the lean surge. When it has done it, if you go into the diagnostics menu, (code 10695) and go to Dashboard errors, i have had a memo next to #5 which according to the manual is just an error (that is all it says). Not worried unless it comes on steady and does not go away. Even the manual says if the light comes on and goes off, it does not always indicate an issue.

As for the anti theft light, I have no ideas on that one. Never seen it light up on my 2012. Not sure what would even make it light up. Do you have the factory alarm installed??.

I had that flash a couple times that I noticed - first time as I was riding out of Houston on a trip, so it was convienient to stop by MPH and have them do a look see

Larry said it is sometimes a poor connector to the oil pressure sending unit that causes intermitent contact...hence momentary flash

Had the bike there for a quick warranty issue (exhaust gasket) and Larry swapped out hte connector with a better one

I'd guesss if the triangle lights there should be a code that can be read off of the dash

cheers good people. will ignore the red triangle and put it down to Guzzi character.
the anti theft went out of its own accord. odd. anyway stay upright and defy the critics. will keep in touch. Blue

I've has the left hand red light glow (faintly) too and it seems to be wet weather related as thats the only time I see it I guess as its darker! I once noticed it when I put it back in the garage (again darker) after washing bike with a hose?

I mentioned it to my dealer and they had no idea what the light was for?

Strange eh?
