MIGHT be dangerous...new recall for >2011 CA.R.C. bikes

Took the bike in for the head light problem and they will be performing 2 updates one being the conron recall, no clue on the second. Wish they'd hurry, the R100 GS feels like a mini bike. ETA one week?

Anybody know what the actual problem is? Is it faulty bearings or the actual linkeage? Or just lack of grease.

It's the actual extrusion, not bearings nor grease. I'm thinking that there was a flaw in one extrusion (maybe just a small part of the extrusion). The extrusion is cut into slices like salami, machined, bored for the bearings, and shipped to Guzzi. The three failures were all Norge's and all in GB so probably produced in the same batch. Guzzi is recalling all bikes world wide that were manufactured using the part that was delivered by that supplier in that batch. Mine is in the recall but I have inspected it and it looks perfect. The failure photos are not subtle...you would darn sure know if you had a problem.
