The best info I could find indicate that the Knight Design lowering pegs hit the kickstand and are a no go. MI has adjustable pegs but are a crazy high price. Do the Buell pegs work, I have read yes and no? There are nice Buell adjustable pegs on Ebay for $50.

Other alternatives out there? Really don't want to have to get a European kickstand.

Gotta do something, calves tighten up after about 2 hours in the saddle.

Try making the seat higher. Has the same effect. Do something temporary to test, then make it permanent later.

Buell XB pegs worked, but there was a lot of grinding involved, and they still rubbed the stand a bit for me.

I think I've seen people use the Knight pegs and only have to grind a small bit off the foot of the kick stand.

This.
Actually, you'll save a ton of money, and even more time just by doing that. Remember that moving the pegs involves moving the levers. Depending on how you want to set your pegs to be comfy the levers might not follow, as they have limited regulation capabilities.

I sell the pegs on the Store tab above or direct HERE. With the 1" drop pegs, just a touch needs to be ground off the "foot" of the stand. It's a minor issue.

I tried the 1.5" lower rubber pegs from Todd. The leg position was great but my knees rubbed the body work just below the tank cutouts. The gear lever is adjustable (no issues), the brake lever is not adjustable - between the adjustable rubber tip and a little adaption, I did not have any issue on the brake side.

The stock US side stand hits and will need to be modified, either cutting and welding the bend out of it or grinding the footpad.

I cut the bump stop on my center stand for more cornering clearance and my heel rests on the centerstand slightly with the 1.5" pegs. Not a big deal, but I can occasionally feel some vibration.

Goldwing pegs are a direct replacement. Wider, longer, rubber topped, and about 0.75" lower than stock. No clearance issues other than slight touching of the stock sidestand. I found a brand new 2013 set of eBay for $32 shipped (came off a trike conversion). Return springs even fit (but I had to order an extra to fit the MG spring hole on the right side).
