After this weekends service I have decided I def. need a oil filter cup removal wrench. What dia is the HF-551 14 Flute? (I know I can remove my sump and check but hope someone might know..) 65mm??

Also on that note, I think I'll be cutting a circular hole in my sump guard to allow for easy access to the filter. I know the sump guard is there for a reason but a) I'm unlikely to be bundu-bashing with the bike and b) you'll smack the sump before hitting the oil filter. The amount of work involved in getting crash bars un-done to allow the sump guard to drop is ridiculous.

Thanks

Since you know what filter you want to use why not just buy one take it to 'Wottalottacrap Auto' and match it up with the right wrench?

The 8 flute ones are 76mm. No idea on the 14 flute but I do ha a wrench for them at work so I can measure it tomorrow if you nag me. That would be for the 14 flute UFI but its probably the same.

14 flute UFI is also 76mm, as is the Bosch 3330. Fitting a smaller diameter filter surely must compromise something, but then so must the shorter filter that is fitted to the new Cali 1400s?
