G'day, Does anyone know if a Griso front wheel will fit a Stelvio? I want to lower the bike and make it more street focussed. Any thoughts. Cheers. Mike

I put a mic on my '09(-11 50mm forked) Stelvio and '11 Griso, and the hub distance between the brake rotors is different. I don't have a 45mm Stelvio here to measure, though to note I have seen a cast 3-spoke Guzzi wheel on a Stelvio online. They do share the same brake rotor specs.

Hope that helps.

p.s. I had a 3.5 x 18 front wheel laced with a 120/70-18 tire fitted; IT ROCKS.

One of the cool things about a spoked wheel is you can swap to a different size rim. You could use the stock hub and have a 17x3.5 rim laced to it and the fit would not change.

Yeah but doesn't the ABS/ASC read wheel speed (impulses from wheel ring) and compare back to front.

IIRC the bikes that have convertible Motad wheel sets have a setting to change between wheels

Thanks Todd but decided to sell the Stelvio after 3 great years. Thinking about a Sport or a Breva. I still have the Jackal in the meantime. Cheers

I thought I would finish up this thread with an update. I found a sweet low k's 90 anno 1200 Sport for a good price and snapped it up! So I am back in the 8V game. The depreciation on the Stelvio was pretty bad but for an additional $A3k I have a bike that is two years younger with 20 thou fewer K's. And after applying a couple of minor fixes mamely the Pete R throttle cable tweak and plugging off the steppor motor I am pretty happy with it. It fuels beautifully without torque dips and popping etc but perhaps lacking a little of the character of the first motor. It certainly lacks the comfort of the Stelvio but I hope to address that in Breva style. Now I am not short legged but I do appreciate the easier reach to the ground and slightly less top heavy feeling which were the reasons for selling the Stelvio. And does it look good! Cheers
