I've noticed that the '13 Stelvio NTX has acquired a new type trim cover piece for the rear of the gas tank, the piece that covers the fuel pump access.

The original part was smooth white plastic that had been painted black. The new part is a textured item that appears to be formed from black plastic instead of painted.

Two part numbers exist for this part:

89816500NI

898165

From what my dealer and I can determine, the 898165 number is the number for the upgraded part since a note is on the dealer parts list that the other part number may no longer be available.

The 898165 retails for about $60 while the 89816500NI is about $160.

The original part on my Stelvio is showing some abrasion from the seat that is revealing the white plastic beneath the paint. This upgrade would improve the aesthetics.
