Interesting Application of a Guzzi Motor

my hat off to the guy. he has done a great job. i can see he must have had a few issues to try and correct with the guzzi engine round the other way. it looks unusual and am keen to see the single. i really thought it was a photo shop as i could not think of an easy way with the engine in the frame.

I do recall seeing a similar thing done before in a chop frame, I think it was featured in Back Street Heroes or AWOL back in the late 80's/early 90's. Personally I can't see why anyone would want to do it but each to their own and hats off to the builder for managing it :)

I respect the workmanship but I fail to see the advantages to this...
In fact, the exhaust pipe has to be painful in a hot day on that right leg.

Let's see; chain drive and one cylinder behind the other causing it to run hotter than the one in front.
Why not just buy Harley or any other air cooled V-twin?

Next you'll be telling me is that the engine and transmission share the same oil and that it has a wet clutch.

Golly, using a Norton trans and primary so now it's a 4 speed with a big and bulky primary drive. I'm still looking for any advantages with this arrangement.

To me this is interesting and some what a exercise in futility ...huge amount of effort for little reward IMO...
If this bike functions well i would be surprised but have much respect for the talent needed to make it happen...
Why someone would do this is beyond comprehension ..

It has been said in the past that I suffer from an extreme phobia of parking my bike somewhere and returning to it to find an identical one parked alongside-I think the builder of this must have the same phobia only far far worse lol!

Someone I know said that when they die , they want to be buried with their backside sticking out of the ground so that somebody can comfortably park their bicycle.....me I don't believe them.

I think Rock Hudson wanted to be buried this way so that his buddies could stop by for a cold one but I could be wrong. lol.

Lot of trouble just to have a kick start.

Saw this thing when it was first completed at an open house @ Moto Nexus. All the rally folks ragged him pretty hard as I remember.

Jayzuz! And it's now a kick start as well. I call that hard core for the sake of being hard core. Amazing sense of vision and perseverance. Sure wouldn't want to be married to someone like that.

I remember that "Bastard" being featured in one of our British mags a while back, and if memory serves, the guy wanted to produce them for sale!!!!

Sometimes I wonder...........

Ray.

You've missed the obvious advantage...........it's not got a leaking & vibrating Norton engine
