Went for the Heidenau's, will report back on how they perform.

The Tourances were fine and still ahve some miles left in them, so are in the garage for later.

Seem like a good looking tyre and like you said on another thread the GS boys rate them.

Be interested to see how they fare as I now own a set of spoked wheels and just deciding on tyre choice.

look forward to your report.

cheers
Mark

I am on my second set now and love them. 11K miles from the first rear and 13K on the front. Just don't run them over 36lbs of pressure and they will last a long time.

Thanks Marc, I like the sound of that, I need to experiment with the pressures, 36 sounds like a good start.

I was told, by the dealer that knows what he is talking about, that if you run higher pressures they may delaminate. I however have never heard of this happening. I run mine at 35lbs and they handle very good on the pavement and do as good as possible on the dirt.

can't find a bad word about the k60 any where, I'm just about to change my forth set of scorpions, which I can't fault other than the speed at which they wear down (4 sets in just over 13k miles) so I think the k60 will be going on my new wheels when they arrive. let us know what pressures you settle on cheers Paul.

This is what the Heidenau Factory did sent me about Tirepressure for the K60 Scout.

Fyi 1 bar is 14.5 psi just so NA folks do not have to look it up ;)

I've got 12000 miles on a set now and I would bet there's at least 3k left in em. I run 40 psi on the rear (on the street) and 34-35 on the front.

I really like them. They are wearing very evenly. These will most likely be my day to day tires from now on.

For dirt work, I had really good luck with the Pirelli Scorpion Rallys.

Just fitted these MITAS E07 Dakar tyes and new to me wire wheels!

I intend to do some "light" off road riding on Salisbury Plain, (British Army training area) this coming Saturday.

More photos to follow after I get them and the bike dirty!

The original images have disapeared but will be good to know how these tyres perform??...My experience with endure patern tyres are they don't stop!! and absolutely HATE wet roads...I suppose on a wet or greasy surface very little will stick anycase...

Actually the E07 works amazingly well in the wet. I'm on my third set and have no issue riding in rain as fast as I dare to run for visibility. They really suffer very little on wet surfaces. Much better than any other tire I have ever run.
Not to mention the great life I get out of them.... easily out classing everything else I have tried.

Even work ok in snow.. lol quite good at self cleaning....
