Don't mean to start another poo storm just a question about Guzzi offering the roller conversion for non-roller bikes. It seems some are under the impression that this is being offered to all non-roller owners free of charge but not paying for labor to install. It was my understanding this isn't the case. You only get the parts free if you have an issue and they will cover the cost of labor only for bikes under current warranty, bikes out of warranty owner pays labor cost. If you just wish to change over and are not having any issue you pay for it all. If anyone( dealers?) knows it would be nice to know what is correct. In my case on my 12' I don't think I have the roller set up but if I don't have a problem I am not going to worry about it. I am betting the cost is pretty high on the kit and I have always gone with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy. I am not into dumping a lot of money into a machine on the chance that it might fail when the odds are heavily in my favor it won't.

There is a thread about that floating around...
The upgrade is only for A8 motors that have failed and you're right, if it's out of warranty, you'll pay the labor cost.
I understand that they're working on a kit for the earlier A5 engines but it has not come out yet.
