I would like a Corbin seat for my Griso 1100, but I can only find Corbin seats to suit the Griso 1200, can a Seat from the 1200 be used on my 1100?

Yes! I had a Griso 1100 seat I used on my 1200 for pillion comfort. There's no difference in the hardware, only the upholstery.

How does it compare to stock? Higher/lower, wider? If it's higher and sets me back a touch, I'd love to have that and put the standard pegs back on.

Thanks!

1100 seat is flatter (side to side) so feels wider & lower and the pillion section is also flatter (front to back) so passenger doesn't slide off the back so easily.
1200 seat is more domed and slightly higher so rider leans forward on the handle bars a bit more.
I haven't tried a Corbin so can't compare that but if I was only ever riding solo I would like to be a bit further back & have lower narrower bars & maybe rear sets......OK, I admit I want a Griso cafe racer!

I have a Corbin seat on my 1100 Griso. The seat is wider and thicker than standard,it also feels as if I sit a bit further back than the stock one. My first ride with the Corbin had me thinking I was sitting on a cushion, and when I went into town to the underground carpark I ducked ,thinking I was gunna bang my head on the roof!!! I havent had a full day ride on it yet but what riding I have done with it is very comfortable. The angle of my knees is a bit less now which is good for my old bits. I can still move my arse a bit when cornering, but found I move my upper body more now. I would recommend one of these seats, money well spent. The only downside to buying the seat was the 16 week wait, from ordering to arrival in Australia. I also had to put a washer under the seat pin for the seat latch. The fit of the seat is a tad better than stock.

I had the same question and the seat will fit both the 1200 and 1100. I actually asked Corbin to update their website so folks would know.

Overall, a much better seat than stock. Yes, you can scoot back quite a bit more than stock and it does feel taller especially where the seat transitions to the tank.

Its far more comfortable on a long trip than the stock seat. Its also easier to move around on when transitioning on more sporty rides.
