I have been trying on occasion to join the world club for a few years now! I noticed some advertising somewhere on the net the other day, to come and join the club. So I figured maybe they have got their act together when it comes to North America.

And I'll be dammed, if it wasn't easy peasy! Went to the club site, clicked the english language icon, and it took all of three minutes to join, my pay pal account is now $48 more easy going, but I'm in!!

Not entirely sure what I get as a member, but I looking forward to finding out.

I've been a member as a "Club = GuzziTech" for the last few years. In the beginning it was OK, but the last two years, all I get is spam e-mails about travel. I'm going to up once again as a final try. I've been in touch with the new President, hoping that I can help with content for a newsletter, etc. We shall see.

There isn't any info about club benefits at all, that fact alone would make me steer clear.

The other factor is that there seems to be little more than a half-arsed attempt to cater to non Italian speakers. Google translate does not international support make.

Personally, I have found Guzzitech the friendliest, most welcoming Guzzi community of all. I'm staying here (even if I lurk more than post).

I got a medium sized packing envelope from Italy two weeks ago! From the World Club, I could hardly wait to get fro the box to my house to open it up, maybe I didn't did to rush! :p

Inside where 3 items, a totally gay pirate like "buff" (ever seen Survivor?) Basically a black polyester and spandex tube with MOTO GUZZi World Club and eagle painted on it, made in, wait for it....China! Then in a separate letter sized envelope in the package where to credit card like cards. Once nice looking World Club Card complete with bar code on the back, and the other a MOTOTURISMO card, that I am thinking is something like a AAA auto club membership here in the states. Unfortunately there was no letter of any kind welcoming me to the club or explaining anything about the club or how to use the cards. The cards of course are in Italian only!

Anyway I am now official, and you're not!

You are $48 poorer and we are not!

You'd think a supporters/fan club would put a little more effort in. Disappointing, really.
