Barring the auxiliary lights issue how are the 13's and 14's holding up? Are you seeing many warranty claims on the later bikes? As I read through it appears most of the problems are with the earlier bikes. I keep trying to cross the Stelvio off my list because I am a pitiful mechanic but my heart won't let me. I just had back surgery but should be able to get riding again in about a month and really want to put an orange NTX in my garage.

There's little data on the 14's since they are just being delivered for the most part, but the '13s seem to have had most any last niggling issues sorted. The big up-in-the-air is the roller rocker assemblies, which aren't fully documented yet. In the end, even the larger "issues" on the '09s are mostly limited to the cams. Piaggio is still supplying warranty parts, just not labor. All in all, all of them would get a solid A-/B+ on my card.

Other than the aux lights (as already noted) the Stelvio NTX is trouble free...for the most part. Mine ('12 non roller cam) has about 16K miles and has never left me stranded. Along the way she has run like a scalded ape and never complained. We did about 8K trouble free miles in the first 6 weeks of ownership. For a large, touting orientated, dual sport she can't be beat. Just my humble opinion.

I have a 2013 Stelvio with over 14,000 miles. As mentioned before, replace the auxiliary lights, they will not make you happy. I replaced with LED lights. You will most likely want to replace the mirror/ turn signals. I had one recall last year to replace a gasket on Frame Shield & Double Connecting Rod. I am presently waiting on another warranty claim, as I lost an exhaust gasket. I am watching the front fork seals, as they leaked a little last fall. I have enjoyed the Stelvio and miss riding it now as I wait for the dealer to do the warranty work, The Stelvio has a personality and is a great touring bike. It looks like Todd would have products to tune up the Stelvio if we ever feel the need to fine tune the motorcycle.

I added the following to my Stelvio.

"Can it be wired into the stock switch?"

Yes it can, but DON'T.
The stock wiring is very wimpy. You will get much better results adding a relay and a fused line from the battery. I tried it without a relay. Not good.

2013 with 17K+. Just returned from a 6000 mile trip. Florida to Arizona

Right front fork seal leaked on delivery - warranty
Right rear turn signal went out after about 500 miles - dealer could not find it. I found it under the dash. Wire looked like a screw was driven through it.
Dealer replaced stripped oil drain bolt (heli-coil)
Both driving lights went out. Replaced one bulb and fixed wiring in the other. - Looking for replacements with LED
Exhaust gasket self destructed at about 11K - warranty (MPH Cycles!)
Right mirror fell apart at about 14K - waiting on dealer to see if they will cover the euro conversion
Was 1.5 liters on oil low on the last leg of my trip. Could be that dealer under-filled when they fixed stripped threads.

Love the bike. I've owned a lot of motorcycles in the past but this one is by far my favorite.
