Forgive me is subject has been posted before. Does any one have any experience with the LeMans II aluminum tanks on eBay. They're very reasonably priced ($765 + $105 shipping from India) for an aluminum tank, but there's a lot more to consider than price. I want to use one on my stock 850T - the first step toward building the bike that lives only in my head. Curiois to know how it will work with my stock (for now) seat. This company lists a lot of aluminum, fiberglass, and some steel tanks. Thanks for any input.

I've heard mixed reports about the Indian made tanks. It all depends on the manufacturer's standard or workmanship and if they're working to an accurate pattern example (some are very good value, some are atrocious). I know someone who is very happy with one he got for his old Norton so I'll try to find out the manufacturers details for you.

The seller recommended by a friend for Norton tanks on ebay trades as pummy.8081 and you can find his stuff with an advanced ebay search for that seller name. He seems mostly to do steel tanks for old British bikes but it could be worth asking him about alloy Guzzi ones?

Thanks Will. I'll keep checking back on that seller. He has a chrome BSA tank for $285 right now, which makes me want to buy a BSA just so I can have a place to put it!

If you go on the Tank Shop's website and click on the Guzzi link they may have just what you want plus a load of other shiny aluminium bits to go with it ;)
