O2 Optimizer Report 2012 Norge

Im in Denver and enjoy my Norge in the Rockies! Of course Im always in want for a few extra lb-ft of torque. Im also a bit unhappy with decel pop and low end throttling. Ive read that the O2 Optimizers do wonders for this engine so I emailed Todd and decided to get the units ( you need two for this model ) ;

The GOOD
- I noticed some extra torque on the low to mid side ... not as much as expected , Im probably going to do some extra investments ( y-pipe, intake box, ECU etc ) when im looking for more ... but for now im happy
- I REALLY notice the decel POP was gone!!! Completely!!!
- I Really Really noticed a very smooth low side ... which greatly stabilized my slow maneuvering and turning, as well as bringing out that wonderful Guzzi Growl as I roll away !
- Im not shifting as much in gear 6 , but that might just be me.

The BAD
- Expected a little more torque... not unhappy, but it wasn't as much as I hoped for
- Gas Mileage went from about 42 to about 36 ... kinda sucks but worth it still

Recommendation
- If you have an 8V ... this should be on your bike! Just get em .... you will see what I mean.

That drop in mileage sounds a bit extreme. Granted I have an '07, but the mileage drop on mine was only about one (1) MPG.

Have you double checked the settings on the optimizer? Perhaps they got changed in shipping from the optimal.

Did you re-set the TPS after installing the ECU ?

He only did the optimizers, not the ECU.
If you do the ECU, it is MANDATORY to reset the TPS post ECU re-flash.
