Hi All,
Hoping to get a ride together on Sunday Oct 05th. Pretty open to anywhere and time...who's up?...

Well, if nothing else a ride here in the Malibu Hills is in order. I'll touch base here on Friday.

I'm overdue for a run in the mountains, better check to see if my battery is charged : ^ ) Will be on the1/3 Italian 1/3 German 1/3 Chinese & 1/3 still running thumper.

I'm a definite maybe. Drug the Mighty Scura out of a 10 month hibernation today. (!) Changed the fluids, and didn't find the crush washer on the oil pan. (?) Figured maybe it went into the oil, strained that, didn't find it. <shrug> Gotta get one before putting oil in the engine...

Chuck! Welcome back! Cool, Mark should have some, and if not, I do. Let me know if you need one mailed to you.

Gotta take Dorcia to the foot doc in Santa Monica tomorrow morning. Not too far from you.. will you be around around noonish?

OK, not sure... Let me put my hand on one and I can leave it out for you either way. I'll post in the morning.

Chuck, I have several of the rubber-laced drain pan plugs here. Not sure if this is too late of a post for you or not. Send me a direct email if not.

Let me know when and where, but I'm not sure as I'm thinking about the BSA Club ride up to Glendora Ridge, etc, if the road is open. But it's closer and I really don't want to go too far if it's 100 degrees! But I'll keep a lookout for any changes.

Yes, I'm wavering because of the temps myself. Perhaps we can push it until the following Sunday? Input?

It was..uh.. warmish in the hills today. I could be tempted to go to the brewpub and cheer on the Colts  f it's supposed to be warmer..

Accu-weather for Sunday, Topanga 81F, Malibu 77F...normally I only ride between 70 & 82F with a minimum of 38% RH other wise my lips will chap, but not more than 85% otherwise I feel the bones my CR broke. Sunny is preferred b/c I'm all covered up anyway & the road is less slippery. This time of year the temperature peaks & falls so I got to be careful not to be caught out in a chill. I never ride on the 13th or Halloween or if I'm having a bad hair day, those have been unlucky too.

I have to work today so Sunday it's either don the spandex shorts & be a d-bag cyclist, a menace to humanity, or dress up like the Michelin man, padded underwear & clown boots for an overdue romp....humm maybe a menace that way too.

If the Husky starts Sunday & the GPS is honest (rare) I'm gonna do this route...

Anyone else that can tolerate being semi lost or seen with diluted eye-tallen dna, aka a botched international attempt at a 1/2 Stelvio, is more than welcome to come... kickstand(s) up 8:50 AM at the Chevron on Sunset & PCH! Be (reasonably) safe & ride your own pace. If someone falls way back don't stress, enjoy your ride, the second meetup is at the Rock store, eta is 10:40 plus or minus 20 minutes. If the Husky don't start or one of its many maladies becomes acute will post here.

:)

Westlake Village is supposed to be 97 tomorrow which I will betcha it shares most of that with Mullholland/Yerba Buena. Too hot for me. I'd love to be there, but the old bod just won't put up with that. Then there's the ride back home that'll cook me on the 60 from LA to the 57.
Sorry guys, gotta pass. Someday this to shall pass!
It'll probably be too hot for the Mt Baldy run, but, at least, that's close to home.

OK Bare see you next time then. Worked from 7AM to 6:30PM non-stop, no lunch in 93F temps, tomorrow will feel like a holiday!

I'm up & fed, will be filing a flight plan due to dense fog but should clear it by 800AGL then VFR direct to Chevron.

I don't even consider flying around here. There's no place to go when it quits.. I've been in the hills the last two days. I'm going to the brewpub and re hydrate.. Go Colts!

I went to the BSA Club ride meeting spot at Buchanons. Maybe a dozen guys showed up. The news of the day was that Glendora Ridge was closed, so the ride was going to go across on the bottom of the mountain to Mills then go up the mountain on Mt Baldy road. I passed on that and went home.
Weather's gotta get better soon.
