    2012 Stelvio Clutch

Take you foot away each time you shift. My guess is you are not letting the shifter return to the middle position. It will not shift up unless you do that and just leaves a limp shift. Adjusting your shifter height fixes the problem. If it shifts fine on the center stand there is no reason it...

    Stelvio idling issues

Seafoam is your friend....... The link below is to clean the stepper without removing the airbox. For the TB, you can reach them through the air box with the long straw you get with the Seafoam Spray. It will just make it. Removing the air box is the easiest way. Not difficult. Two bolts...

    No charge to battery

No. There are two 30 amp fuses. One under the seat which is a main power fuse and one behind the right side panel under the seat.

    No charge to battery

Do you have head lights when you start the bike. Did you look at the 30 amp fuse behind the right hand side panel just below the seat. You need to remove the panel to see it. That is where the fuse is for the lighting logic relay that controls the charging. If the 30 amp fuse is not blown then...

    TECH: U.S. Turn-signal UPDATE

Sounds good. Only advise on Mt Washington is check the weather the day you will go and plan accordingly. We managed to get to the top and then they closed the road behind us as the winds and cloud cover at the top were barely ride-able. When we got back down there was a bunch of bikers that...

    TECH: U.S. Turn-signal UPDATE

You don't need the wire from the mirror/signal. The plug will reach although it is a bit on the short side. May need some rerouting but from what I remember it will be a straight shot. You may need to connect/Disconnect the plug while the side fairing is on the bike. Like I said, it is short...

    TECH: U.S. Turn-signal UPDATE

You don't. The other end of the stock signal wire from the mirror has a plug. That is what you unplug, not the actual stock signal on the mirror.

No start with an ECU error on the dash

If all else fails may want to take a look at this just to be sure. https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/safety-alert-for-8v-motors-possible-alternator-wiring-short.17351/

2017 Stelvio stuck in 2ND gear

When you say stuck do you mean the shifter will not move, or it moves up and down but will not engage. If it moves up and down it may be more the shift mechanism not returning and allowing it to shift to the next gear. Does it return to the middle position by itself (ie. is the shift spring...

    Stelvio, fuel congestion

I thought you said you had a 2012 Stelvio. That is not a fuel pump from a 2012. Looks like a small tank 2011. Is that what you have?

    Stelvio, fuel congestion

I am just going to throw this out there, have you tried running the bike with the gas cap open. Sounds a lot like a plugged vent........just saying.

    Stelvio Oil leak?

Phase sensor. Left side at the 11:00 position of the cylinder on the block. Two bolts holding the sensor. Just snug the bolts for now but some RTV on the o ring will cure the problem.

Oxford heated grips Switched live Stelvio '08

Hmmm...I went back and re-read my posts. For some reason I kept thinking you were installing aux lights. Not sure why I went off the rails on that. The stock heated grip controller on the pre 2010 (small tank model) should work as is without and relays. It uses the dash to switch them on and...

    Safe Turn System

I have an 84 Yamaha with self canceling signals. Absolutely hate it and figuring out a way to bypass it. Have been caught at a light trying to turn left and have had the signals turn off on more than one occasion. I am now in the habit of repeatedly flicking the signal at stops just to be sure...

    Safe Turn System

I have failed to understand your point that implies cruise control is an issue on an ABS bike. Last time I checked cars with abs have cruise. One has nothing to do with the other. One is for convenience and one is a possible safety issue. Yes I installed a cruise and yes it turns off if you...

Rattle noise on neutral with clutch engaged

Has nothing to do with the clutch. Constant mesh gearbox. Gears are rattling around a bit since they are still spinning but not engaged. Once you pull the clutch in it stops spinning. Well documented on the 8V engines. They all do it to some extent. Some more than others. All depends on...

Oxford heated grips Switched live Stelvio '08

If it was my bike and they were that difficult to find I would install a Bosch type 4 pin relay with a socket. Can pick them up at any local auto store. Then remove the other plug and splice in the new one. Nothing special about this relay. It is just a make and break NO 4 pin relay. Most...

Oxford heated grips Switched live Stelvio '08

Unfortunately I have never bought one for the earlier models so I can't tell you the exact style that will fit. It is a normal 4 pin automotive relay. Nothing fancy but I don't know if it is a bosch type (square with specific post layouts) or the rectangular type. Someone that has purchased...

Oxford heated grips Switched live Stelvio '08

Correct. Small tank model needs the relay added. There is a spot for it and connector. Just needs the relay.

    Stelvio Fork Bleed?

They should feel a little different so not sure why they are seeing that as strange. One is compression heavy and one is rebound heavy. When they are both on the bike they work together for one complete system. One a little harder to push, one a little slower to return. If you have both...
