Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. My Audace just clicked over 43K today, not one faulty issue to date, have removed the back of the air box and run a K&N filter with my replica conti mufflers, have a rexxer map for the ecu which is giving me 4% fuel increase between 500-1500rpm,8% 1500-4000 and 10% 4000-8500, pulls hard every where.
I recalibrate all of my tyres when changed from old to new, customers tyres always too. It is a simple process and guarantees the traction control functions properly, not that I ever use mine prefer full control by throttle
I have owned a AUDACE since the very first one arrived in OZ,
Mine was the first registered in WA , I'm the mechanic at Thunderbikes, have ridden every Guzzi model you could think of, of the 1400's the AUDACE is best in my books.
I'm 5"8 in height too, absolutely love the reach and stance of the AUDACE. At any speed and well above 200K's she handles superbly, perhaps a Custom or Eldorado would have been a better choice for you, the AUDACE was meant to be bold
You must be bloody joking, I've been riding bikes fast for thirty years, I've been working with Guzzis for a job, had 6 of them and run this Audace against many bikes and thru radar traps. A few kms out maybe, thirty+, you've got your facts wrong.
Been a while since I was on here, short update, bikes done 9000kms trouble free, replaced both tyres at 8500, both were knackered. Never use traction control or take it out of Veloce mode, runs sweet with 98 octane unleaded with K & N and conti's. Rocker covers changed three months ago
Running sweet throughout rev range, runs to 215 at 6K with plenty more to go and happy to run at 60-70 kms/hr in fourth with no issues with fuelling, only pops off on over run with closed throttle occasionally something I can live with. Will most likely add Rexxer map in near future but don't...
Mufflers are locally made for a LMIV , I shortened them by removing bend from cross over end and expanded pipe slightly to fit over C1400 flexi end, they were second hand, had them ceramic coated after welding new bracket hangers to suit. I will be trying to get local guy who made originals to...
Foot pegs position is comfortable, put 600 kms on her Saturday and 400 Sunday with no discomfort whatsoever , have touched them both down on round abouts tipping her right over though.
All fasteners should be checked at dealers as standard with pre delivery, depending on shop this may not be happening properly, I pre delivered a new V7II the other day and noticed nearly all visable fasteners had both yellow and blue paint spots from factory meaning twice checked, the only nuts...
