Todd, I have a 2016 V7II Racer and I am sure I read on one of your posts that you recommend the RCA3s Front - 110/80 - 18, but the original size is 100/90-18. Is this a significant difference and why the difference? Love to hear your thoughts. Cheers.
Well I certainly like the thin shorter rear mud guard (fender) on the 10th anniversary V7III Racer.. I don't wish to entirely eliminate my fender, just make it a little less obvious. Wonder if it would fit on my V7II 2016 Racer? Any ideas ???
Thank you for the information. Much appreciated. I have been told by another magnificent Guzzi rider that he has used Conti RA3s on his V7 with original spoke rims without tubes for over 12 months without a problem. I think this is useful info given the other opinions on this thread...
Thanks very much for the reply. The guy that told me this had it done on his racer and it was apparently the bike tyre shop that advised him he didn't need tubes, actually asked him why he wanted tubes, as there was no need for them. So he doesn't run tubes on his racer with original spoked...
So I am reading quite a bit here about the need for tubes in radial tyres on spoked rims, however on another forum I have been informed that modern spoked rims, including those on the V7II racer, are now sealed and there is no need for tubes. Any comments welcomes?
Just wondering if you have that photo yet, and how the changes went? I have a V7II Racer that I am wishing to modify the rear on, but can't work out the best way to go about it?
My new 2016 (plate 01/17) V7II Racer - VIN#ZGULW3000GM200843 - Don Hodkinson - Hobart, Tasmania, Australia - D.O.P 13 Aug 2018. Agostini mufflers, 1.5 Guzzi seat, Aprilia Tuono mirrors, plug covers painted Mazda 'Soul' red. Now with 1,200 enjoyable kms on it.
Cheers and thanks for the info. Yes, I was somewhat taken by the cost. I don't pay that much for a full service on my 3.2 L diesel Triton. Let's face it, the cylinders are staring you in the face so pretty easy to find - not hidden by fairing or frame :( :)
Cheers. Yep, the book says 120 minutes for this full service, but the shop said it took 4 hours going on 5, but they kindly only charged me to 4 hours. I know where I will not be going again. I rang 3 other shops and there time quote s were around the 2 hours mark. and about $400.00. It...
I had the first (1,000km) service on my 2016 V7 II Racer done 2 days ago. The shop charged me for 4 hours labour, telling me that it was nearer 5 hours. Total cost $611 Australian. From all accounts this is about 2 hours too long. The valve clearances were all within tolerance so there...
I am pretty sure this is not the case. The advice the dealer gave me appears sound; and the dealer was very helpful, even on a Sunday. Ultimately, the problem may simply have been all on me. The right hand muffler fitted straight on - no issue, and when I redid the left, same result. They...
Well, when I purchased these I was not aware of you on the other side of the world; or this web page. But I now do and will consider it in future. They are produced to fit the V7 Racer, and after speaking with the supplier here in Australia I found out that there is a small amount of...
Ok, so I have a small dilemma, the Agostini instructions say, "don't force it', as you can see the bracket and hole do not line up. What is the answer? Perhaps loosen off the header pipe screws ? I am not a 'tool', just a pretty cautious operator. I read posts like this and at times...
