I had a problem with my G11 when new, it turned out to be a bad connection at the battery terminal. Once cleaned and reconnected it has been fine ever since.
Yes, I have successfully used VDSTS and the PC-V software on window 7. I was also able to use both on Windows Vista after getting the USB-9pin adapter drivers working for VDSTS, PC-V worked right away.

Just received the air box ring and filter today. Looks great and really cleans things up. Looks like rain tomorrow, test ride is going to have to wait.

Mine had some spotting issues once and I was able to polish them out with mother's metal polish. the color was brighter in those areas at first, but after heating up everything was the same again. I quickly figured out the the spray cleaner I was using for the bike was getting on the pipes and...
No worries Todd, things are working great. I was just asking out of curiosity, interesting to see what others are trying. I imagine there are lots of theories out there as to what works best. I'll stick with your recommendations, I know you've been at this for a while and have some historical...
For those on the fence, let me share my experience. My 07 Griso is my first Guzzi, and although I enjoy working on mechanical type things, I have no experience as a mechanic or working on motorcycles. While the PC-V and autotune are not totally plug and play, the install was relatively easy if...
Being paranoid about leaks from previous issues I can say with first hand knowledge that the cure to a valve cover leak is not overtightening. I purchased the real gaskets and tightend them too far. If you tighten them anywhere near the spec for the oem gaskets it will cause the silicon to...
I was able to get it to work on Vista by downloading the drivers from the web, cd didn't help me. Even better, when I installed it on Windows 7 it found the drivers automatically and runs with no issues.

Sorry it took me so long to post on this Todd, but I really wanted to get some unrelated issues sorted out so I could test the setup and post my results. After riding around for a while I can't believe what a difference the PC-V and autotune makes! I know you say it doesn't actually create...
I just completed my first valve adjustment on the Griso and found it to be extremely easy. I set to 4 and 6 thou as specified, before setting they were at 8 and 12 thou. Other than a little extra noise, does the looseness affect anything?
