Hi Racer242,
sounds like your on the money. Got some pic's from the dealer this morning. To quote them:-
"We've sent a case through to Guzzi, just waiting for a response. Bit of a strange one, we haven't come across this issue before but we're looking into it."
Believe replacement part is in...
Took the bike in for its 12k service earlier this week and to get the oil leak resolved. As suspected it was the drive shaft oil seal thats causing the issues. Motor didn't have to come out of the bike to get to the seal, but it was quite involved.

The heated grips are hopeless, and thats from someone in the land of OZ; sure the temperture gets cold ,riding in winter around home it does get downto the 3C mark , Honestly my mates Oxford grips run rings around them.
To quote a review from AMCN (Australian Motorcycle News):-
"And while...
Yes its a rotary switch (Part number 2D000530) , same switch thats used on V85 e5, which as you can see from GTM's post below can be bypassed.

The switch has been used on many Aprilia models, do a google search and...
New front springs, new spring preload spacers & revalving of the fork pistons , done 10 days ago; Since then another 2500ks or so have been clocked on the bike on some of the windiest roads on the eastern coast of NSW. I must admit I always thought the handing of the V100s was good but the...
Couple of picks of our latest trip to
Gympie..upgraded front fork springs on the way (improved the suspension/handling immensely..will comment on in v100 forum when we get home early next week).
Got a SW_ Motech guard on my V100 , whilst you can access the drain plug , you do have to remove the guard to change the filter. I believe the same also applies to guards from Hepco Becker & Dbk. I think the Pyramid Plastics offering doesnt have to be removed to change filter
So you bought a scanner tool .................what brand is it?
You say a lot of trial & error. Can you inform us of the proceedure? Better still maybe a video of you doing the reset to your V100
Having done over 2500ks ,since changing to shock spring and having the shock revalved I can honestly say it has made a vast improvement. The ride is still firm , yet the harshness of “bottoming out “ every time we hit a bump is gone. (The wife is happy now as she doesn’t feel like she’s being...
Got shock back today.
Will fit tonight and go for a blast tomorrow and let you know the difference after it has had a firmer spring installed, and valving done.
In the interim a couple of pic's .......spot the difference.

Cath & I ,will be in Albury on the 26th Aug on our way home from MGCoV's AGM( Have to drop the bike in to Blacklocks so they can see the slight oil leak the V100 has...that way they can order appropriate seal . I know it can only be one of two, have sent them photos , but they want to see...
I'd suggest the shields are there for a reason. (i.e to stop scraping the pipes).
No doubt Guzzi designed them to take most of the hit before the exhaust . (i'd prefer that to damaging the exhaust)
sorry about the pic.. includes a bit of timber whilst the bike is jacked up to allow me to...
Purchasing a V100S 2 months ago and having now done just over 4000ks I decided that its time to upgrade the springs to be more suited to my weight , that of my pillion etc. Something which I knew I'd have to do before I even bought the bike
Reason being unless I'm doing 120k's + the suspension...
Finally my panniers arrived, after watching this tread with interest and the good ideas in regards to fixing with linch pin, clevis pins etc .
I decided to take a different tack to prevent the panniers coming off in mid flight. Being reluctant to drill them at this stage I thought why not put a...
Had the exact same issue today, think I must of accidently hit emergency lights in launcher menu while trying to pair phone & headset .
BDS is right, once switched to Auto all is resolved.
(only wish pairing the head set was as easy. no issues with phone but the headset is proving a...

...way to the land of Oz. The douchebag behaviour has been here for years, even if they've been driving smaller utes/pickups.
How do you fix it, F&^*ed if I know, Only solution I can think of is to make it mandatory for everyone to get their bike licence before their car licence and they must...
