When I first bought my '98 EV11 touring I wanted to transform it into a T3 visually but I started fixing the things I felt needed upgrading this has been a 17 year process with Todd/GuzziTech. The "Cruiser" bodywork just made it more fun because most don't know there is a '80's sport bike...
Alfred Wilson is coming up from San Diego and would like to meet up with local Guzzi riders. I thought we could meet up at the Shell gas station at base of Angeles Crest, ride up to Newcombs Ranch and possibly to Wrightwood if time permits. Meet at 9:30am roll out at 10 am. Hope to see you...
Hi Derek,
I'm one of the persons that talked to you as you were heading out. your bike is super clean, as you get more time on the Guzzi you will alter your riding a bit and it will get much better. I bought my first Guzzi in 1983 and have had at least one Guzzi since then...and no regrets...

im going to go but not ride up with the parade or show bike...just going to see friends and hopefully ride with friends. i would like to end up at Newcombs in afternoon...
I'm heading to Newcombs and highly likely to Wrightwood. I will be at shell station 9am not sure if I'll be on EV or Scura. hope to see some of you there.
went to Crest at 9am overcast but dry. Sun poped out at about 9:30am it was specatacular...met up with Yogi on Scura at base and saw Howard on Vintage and Mike on Stelvio at Newcombs. the LEO's were up there with light-dar I got lucky and didn't come after me I was tring to keep it at...
yes...when i first started playing with the reworked shock and forks I left them where Stig set them and broke 'em in... they were set soft so started just moving sag/comp/rebound by "seat of pants" I got them in ballpark and then measured to see where I was vs. what Stig was telling me to do...
KT...i rememeber that feeling. the ohlins stuff was not set up for weight of bike.
GM...don't agree with the "preload" theory for ride height...I have found the V11 prefer the front and rear sag to be the same. (35mm to 40mm) The ride height should be done with adjusters that don't change...
