The Givi engine guards do an excellent job of protecting the bike. I stalled mine and pitched over the the right (I have MS), the only damage was a slightly bent rear brake lever. I installed some folding toe pegs and hopefully the next time this happens there will be no damage.
Pretty awful, I had the Sport shield and the buffeting was tremendous and noisy as well, I cut it down as much as possible but there was no improvement. I then ordered a custom screen from Gustaffson but it was also too noisy and I ended up cutting it down to flyscreen size. I also like the Givi...
When I could no longer get V rated tires for my V7 Sport Bonneville race bike I had Woody's Wheel Works in Denver make me a set of tubeless Excel rims so that I could run radials. They worked great out on the salt but on the street the difference was night and day, it went from being a 70's...
I'm running the 100/90 but the gap has always been large, I've only seen a few bikes like this.
the second pic shows the cut down fork brace, lowered it maybe 1/2”.
Why do some V7iii's have a front fender that is way above the tire like this bike? Mine was like that so I cut the fork brace down as much as possible but it could still be closer. Most V7's that I have seen have better fitting fenders.
Thanks to the generosity of one of the Facebook Moto Guzzi Owners page sending me a set of red spark plug covers, I was able to make my valve covers fit in with the rest of the program.
Yes, I had cut it down a couple of times, still thought it was too noisy and got the Givi, turns out the source of the noise was my earplugs. I might put it back on if no one wants it. I had the wheels powder coated when I wore out my Sport Demons, that was as close as they could come to the...
I've been running the Givi and am quite happy with it, decent protection/noise compromise and fits the bike well. I have a little green flyscreen that I would part with, uses stock mounts and comes with a shortened stock screen.
They are really pretty but if you ride with others they will have to wait for you to catch up. My buddy just sold his and bought a RE 650 so he can keep up with the rest of us old farts.
I'd like to put in a good word for the GTM folding toe pegs, their larger diameter makes shifting much more comfortable and as a special needs cat, the eccentric peg allows me to access the rear brake without drama. Good stuff.
