    V100 Mandello Chat - H20

I think the radiator should go right where it is, personally. No reason to pretend it isn't water-cooled, cuz it is.

    Jacket recommendations?

I don't think it matters much what country it comes from, and he seems to be looking at a textile jacket, not leather. I agree there's not a perfect correlation between price and quality, but there is generally a floor... $50 is probably beneath that. personal choice only goes so far, nobody...

    Jacket recommendations?

I've never heard of viking cycle, but those prices are a bit too good to be true imo. this time of year, consider checking your local moto shops, there may be some sales. nice to try this stuff on before you buy, too.

Sheep skin fur and bike shorts

I cycle a lot and have lots of spandex shorts, I can't imagine what use they would be on any motorcycle I've ever owned. Seems like the padding is just in the wrong place. The job of a motorcycle seat and a bicycle saddle are completely different. The padding in bicycle shorts is mostly for...

    V100 Mandello Chat - H20

ah, unrelated but thank you for this note. I'm planning on putting a 170 on my B11 next, thinking along the same lines.

    V100 Mandello Chat - H20

I sort of agree, where the V85 is good, this has evolved ... rather away from that.

    V100 Mandello Chat - H20

yea I agree... I like many aspects of the design, but the front cowling/headlight is a bit bland. sort of reminds me of my old Bandit S, or any one of a dozen or so Kawasakis. I guess it's sort of a sporty touring bike? nice commuter?

    Online parts source in Canada

I'm sure, but it's something I've experienced across many years and industries and businesses. I think the UK royal mail and the Canadian post just kinda... get on better together? or something? actually, you're about the only american business I'll deal with, because the service and products...

    Online parts source in Canada

I get big stuff right here, and small stuff at gutsibits in the UK. there are no Canadian sources that I've ever been able to find. shipping just... is what it is. both sources will deal with you fairly and charge reasonable rates. shipping from the UK is generally much easier and cheaper...

    Wall of moronic shame...

" Sorry. If you want a refund, we will have to work with Agostini in Italy when they reopen. Let us know." I mean... that seems pretty reasonable? I wonder if this customer missed the 'we' part here, and thought you were telling them to go deal with Agostini themselves. I'm not sure you...

    Wrecked my Guzzi... Engine Swap?

yes, there's risk, that's why I'm suggesting you check. dismantle, look, measure, etc. if you've already given up on the engine, there's no real risk and much to be gained.

    Wrecked my Guzzi... Engine Swap?

at least find out what's broken before you go looking into a swap. the shipping alone on either of those engines might be most of the parts you need.

Safe Rev Limit for 2010 V7 Cafe with 820cc Kit

well that's two different questions... to the first: yes. to the second: 7800rpm, though you're relying on the hazy memory of a stranger. 7200 for the V7IIIs, I believe. no clue why they're different.

didn't we start this thread commenting about how unnecessary all that horsepower is?

    Head-scratcher - '21 HD Sportster S

my preference is for air-cooled bikes with two valves per cylinder... but just because I'm lazy and prefer to simplify my maintenance requirements as much as possible. I certainly hope Guzzi finds a way forward, though, and I can't imagine that will be with air-cooled engines.
