    Givi Monokey on a Griso?

Has anyone fitted a Givi Monokey Top Box to a Griso? Presumably a universal Givi baseplate is required, but what Griso rack did you use?

    Plastic fuel filters in tank.

So can you see the filter of a Griso through the filler? If it has to be changed, how's that done since it's IN the tank? Is there a removable section of the tank base? If so, how's that sealed to the tank to prevent it leaking in use? Is my 2009 bike likely to have the problem?

8V High Mileage / Good News Stories

What's this about a re-call? I thought MG's take on the cam issue was to fix them if they broke (provided the bike has a dealer service history).

Start mod done, still got problems

Today I located the forward (start) relay (Griso 8v), snipped the yellow wire, and fed it from a fused line from the battery. I pressed the starter and it started OK. Did it again a few minutes later - just click and clunk - no start! Pressing the starter again had no effect. Switched ignition...

    8V TECH: Valve Adjust How-To

Mine's an A5, with quite noisy top ends. Sometimes I think I can hear a 'zizz' noise on revving the engine, as well (when standing next to it). Seems to be at one RPM, so it passes through the 'zizz' zone on the way up the rev band, and again on the way down.

    8V TECH: Valve Adjust How-To

Many thanks Pete. It is just a tappety tappety light clatter even when cold. What's the difference between A5 and A8 engine? I don't know which mine is, but it's a UK bike, 2009 Griso 8V. I bought it 2 months ago with just 1070 miles on it. Changed the oil (synth 10/60) and filter, and...

    8V TECH: Valve Adjust How-To

Oh dear. Mine's a bit clattery which I took to be 'a good thing'. Obviously you don't want them too quiet either or the valves might not be closing fully. How should they sound on tickover when corectly set (cold engine)? You can definately hear mine!

Griso 8v fuse 'C' [or is it 'B'?] blowing on start

Arrgh! Another fuse blew on starting - checked carefully before replacing, and .....it's fuse 'B'! Could I have been wrong about the other fuse blows? Was it 'B' all along and I was looking at fuse box from the wrong end and thought it was 'C'? Or are they both blowing? I'm going to assume for...

Removing 8v Griso side panel 'skirt'

I need to get into the area behind the tank, under the seat, where the relays live. I have removed all the allen screw fasteners I can see under the side panel skirt, the two on the side of the skirt, plus four 'inboard' under the rear lamp, plus the two vertical 'bolts' that hold the this panel...

Griso 8v fuse 'C' [or is it 'B'?] blowing on start

Re: Griso 8v fuse 'C' blowing on start On that diagram it's shown as Fuse 3 (but that diagram doesn't seem to show it as 15A, which it is and should be). It feeds (via the contactor in relay 28, the Main Injection Relay) the fuel pump, both injectors, and both coils.

Griso 8v fuse 'C' [or is it 'B'?] blowing on start

Re: Griso 8v fuse 'C' blowing on start I have. But that's about fuse 'B' blowing, isn't it? Mine's fuse 'C', which is 15A and supplies the fuel pump, coils, and injectors.

Griso 8v fuse 'C' [or is it 'B'?] blowing on start

I've only had the bike a couple of weeks, but last week on starting fuse 'C' blew, so no start. I replaced the fuse with a good one, and all was well and the bike ran and started OK until tonight. This evening I went to start it and it blew the fuse again (it's a 15a fuse). So I replaced the...
