    Stepper Motor Bypass

This is a very old thread. Is there a test to confirm the stepper is working? If your stepper cycles at key off, does that prove it is working?

Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment for Stelvio and Others, Better Shifting

I assume he means JB Weld or equivalent. Still, that is just epoxy, a glue. I don't trust most things to hold with glue, especially on a Guzzi...

Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment for Stelvio and Others, Better Shifting

Are you stating that the clutch lever for the California 1400 will interchange and reduce the pull? Do you know by how much % ? Thanks

    09 Stelvio Weak Alternator?

One is a Shorai Lithium recently shipped to me under warranty. We thought the battery might be bad because it was running down. It was the parasitic load that was the issue. That is what started me checking the voltage. The Lithium battery's read a little different that Lead acid, so I...

    09 Stelvio Weak Alternator?

Thanks, that's helpful. So you are reading 13.6 at idle. Higher than mine, but not by much. I thought mine should have been reading 14's at idle. My Buell reads 14.4 at idle. Mine does not go up much when accelerating as yours did to 14.1. I did a reading with heated grips at full on and...

    09 Stelvio Weak Alternator?

Maybe I was being a little paranoid. Guzzi's can have that effect on you! :wasntme: What readings are you other Stelvio riders getting at idle?

    09 Stelvio Weak Alternator?

I tried 2 batteries. Pretty sure that isn't it. Checked belt and it looks to be in very good shape. I tried pulling on it and didn't slip at all. about 1/4-1/2" deflection. Talked to Curtis at Harpers and a few others and they think it is fine. Maybe on the low end, but still doing the...

Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment for Stelvio and Others, Better Shifting

Didn't even know there was an adjustment for this. Mine is at the very end/out of the lever pull. It could use a little adjustment. What do you recommend, a couple turns?

    09 Stelvio Weak Alternator?

I was testing my electrical system prior to a long trip. It is only outputting 13.2 volts. at idle measured at the battery posts. The manual says output should be 14.2-14.8 It also doesn't increase much at revs. Possibly going down at revs. This seems fishy, can any one confirm what is...

    Battery light on

Reply about my inquiry: Thank you for your inquiry and interest in Euro MotoElectrics. Over the last 10 years of selling our charging system, our customers using ODYSSEY BATTERY have reported more charging system issues and battery issues (even explosions) , than with the use of a conventional...

    Battery light on

Voltage Regulator bad. On that subject: Euro Moto Electrics has a disclaimer that voids warranty and doesn't recommend there regulators for use with Odyssey or Lithium Batteries. Any idea why this would be? I'm going to contact them and report back

    Battery light on

2000 V11-S, 70,000 miles. Light is on. Could someone refresh my memory on checking the regulator output vs the alternator to determine which one is bad? Thanks

    09 Stelvio Relay ?

Not the glove box. HID lights have seperate relays. The rear one will cause the bike to quit. It will run with out the front.

    09 Stelvio Relay ?

That was my thought. I checked the aux lights sockets and both are getting power, but I only have one relay pulled. I didn't check the glove box. I will try that and see and pull the front one and check the lights again.
