    Your diagnosis does not fly. If the butterflies open how does that overcome the valve action? The cylinder heads control compression not the throttle bodies. what happens in second gear?

    the pump charges for a few seconds to prime the system then shuts off until motor starts that's normal. give more details? if the canister hoses are cut you may be sucking air, you should plug the manifold ports or link them with some of the left over hose when you dump the evap cans. but it...

    the frame can rub a hole right thru the tank, right side of steering head, get something in there to keep it from rubbing on that exposed end of frame tube.

    there is no law saying you have to be in 5th gear when going 55.. I don't use 5th till 70+ MPH. hook up your throttle balancer to the nipples on the intake manifold not the airbox.
