    sport 12 brake questions

Hi New pad material is about 3 to 4 mm One pad will wear faster than the other, The clip is reusable or can be replaced with a C clip of appropriate size, make sure the caliper is well cleaned out and a smear of copper slip will help the pads slide in the groves. FWIW I used EBC pads when I...

    Norge acceleratio interruptis

Hi I had almost the same problem on my 1200 sport, puting the bike on vdsts showed a "jerky" readout which dropped back to base at about 80% throttle. Thought it was the TPS and while I was trying to see the model number I disconnected the multipin connector to the TPS. one of the pins was...

If you have time when You get to Kendal Junction 36 take the A65 then the A6 right up to Carlisle then cut across country on the A7 up to Edinburgh. much nicer than sitting on the Motorway and you loop over the M6 several times so you can annoy police cars on the Motorway

    hesitation B1100

I think that it has become more noticable recently, the bike stumbles, if you know what I mean at around 3000 to 3800 rpm on medium throttle, most easily felt under load. I suspect that its around the change from closed to open loop, the owner suspects the TPS but I'm not so sure. The warning...

    Dunlop Road Smart whine...?

I have noticed the whine rumble from the tyres, worse with the Michelin pilot roads and it varies a lot with the surface I suspect that the design of the front Mudguard amplifies the noise, I can hear it with my Plugzz in but they have acoustic filters not solid plugs.

Too true. But there is definately more power! Yesterday I was pulling out of a 30 limit in 2nd about 4000 rpm just opened the throttle and up came the front wheel. no loading suspension or flicking the clutch, it didnt do that before!!

    Airbox Mods

Dont see why. But anyway torque is increased, enough for example to be using 6th gear on twisty roads where I would have been using 5th

    Airbox Mods

Well I decided to go for it.. Looking at the air inlet snorkels they seem to have a smaller intake area than the Throttle bodies and judging by the amount of deadening/damping material they are designed for noise reduction rather than performance. Firstly I pulled off the rubber snorkel which...

    Airbox Mods

I see some reference to airbox mods on Das Mototech site, and below on the griso section, Does anyone have any information on opening up the airbox on the 1200 sport which i would guess is different to the griso having a circular filter not the flat like on the V11 centauro etc. It looks to me...
