    Gas Tank Opening

I used to use the McCuff until I found this product: http://cyclegiant.com/products/22494-al ... ddy-yamaha For me, it works much better than the McCuff and takes up no space.

    Mistrals "popping"??

Todd, I have a version 1 MemJet (temp sensor spoofer) installed on my V7 along with Mistral slash cuts, and a Stucchi crossover. The MemJet was installed at the suggestion of Moto Guzzi tech support to help solve a very severe lean condition. That was two years and several thousand miles ago. I...

V7 racer - chrome tank issue

I asked my dealer a few weeks ago if the metal tanks will fit on v7's with the old engines. I have a 2009 V7C. The response the dealer got back from MG tech support was: In theory is possible to change the plastic tank with the metallic one but to do it you would have to change the fuel pump...

V7 Racer - bar end weights

I did several 200 to 400 mile days last year and vibration was never an issue. You might want to try a pair of Grap On grip covers. They are cheap and easy to install. They just slide over the stock grips. The foam might absorb enough of the vibration so that it would no longer be a problem...

V7 Racer - bar end weights

WHY, I took my OEM bar ends and a Rizoma mirror to a machine shop with the idea of having them turn down the OEM units so the mirrors would fit. They said that it could be done, but it would be much cheaper to have new bar ends made from aluminum. The aluminum units are an exact copy of the OEMs...

V7 Racer - bar end weights

These Rizoma bar end weights should work with no modification to your bike. http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product ... cts_id=178 Contact PJ's Parts to make sure they will fit. I installed Rizoma Retro Classics on my V7C and had a pair of aluminum bar ends made. They work great.

    V7C Evap Canister

When I got the recall notice for the faulty valve in the evap system, I had the dealer remove the entire thing. Visually, it makes a real difference without that black can hanging under the engine. I have a question for any V7C, Cafe, or Racer owners that have also removed the evap system. Did...

V7 racer - chrome tank issue

If your Racer has the charcoal evap canister, make sure your dealer does this recall. https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/202/7894.html My dealer just removed the entire evap system.

    Center Stand vs. Side stand

My dealer installed the center stand on my V7C without any issues and kept the side stand in place. If you dealer does not know how to do that, you should probably look for a different dealer or mechanic. You will need to make sure that the side stand is deployed (down) when you take the bike...

    V7 Classic 2009-2012 question

I have one of the first V7C's sold in the Pacific Northwest. I absolutely love it, but it really did not come into it's own until it had about 5k on the clock. Since then it has been even more of a delight to ride than when it was new. If you can put up with the teething problems that are...

    V7 Cafe Racer Fairing

I purchased a couple of chorme button head hex bolts, cut them to length and screwed them into mirror mount. Seems to look pretty good. You can now purchase bar end weights that will work with the Rizoma mirrors. I believe that they are ones that are used on some Aprilia models.

    New smallblock motor?

Guessing that it has only one throttle body. If that is correct, it should make an already simple to maintain engine even simpler.

Front disc brake on V7 and Nevada....

I just replaced the front rotor and pads on my V7C for the same reason. The disk was warped. The front rotor is a common unit that is used on several bikes including the Nevada and Breva. I chose EBC. I purchsed their Prolite Rotor. The part number is MD614X. I purchsed their Organic Kevlar...

    V7C Idle Problem

About three weeks ago I took the V7C out for the annual Spring Opener. Weather was grim, cold and wet. But we did ride 168 miles. This was the first long ride since I had the MemJet installed. The bike runs better than when it was new. The idle problem is gone. Fuel mileage remained the same. I...

    turn signals to running/turn lights

You might want to check with these folks: https://www.kisantech.com/index.php?cat_id=4 However, if you are riding a V7C you are out of luck. Here is the response I got from them concerning converting the turn signals on my V7C to running lights: We are trying to reduce the wire cutting...

    Warped V7C Gas Tank

Bill, Thanks for posting this. Your experience with MG/Piaggio warranty service is exactly the same as mine. I would say that my experience with my dealer (Cascade Moto Classics), MG warranty support and MG tech support have been stellar. I could not ask for anything better.

    V7C Idle Problem

Got the MemJet installed today. I am not going to say that it made a huge difference in torque or horsepower, but the first pull broke the dyno.  Didn't know that these little small blocks could produce that much power.  Actually the dyno had just been serviced...

    V7C Idle Problem

I took my V7C to my dealer late last month because it would not idle for more that 30 seconds and the front engine seal was leaking. I just picked the bike up today but not because it took that long to fix. I have been out of the country for almost 30 days. The idle problem was caused by the...
