Thanks for that feedback. The C-Bows do look good - but as I have the high Arrow exhaust on one side, so I could only use one - and wonder if it would cramp space for my wife on the back. I'm looking more at the Givi now, maybe a 37L top case in their lighter series. Rated only to carry 3kg of...
Find myself wanting to carry more stuff recently.
Have a V7II Scrambler setup with Arrow high exhaust.
1st scenario is I want a bag late enough to carry a DSLR camera / lenses, etc - so not considering a roll, or soft tube shape bag. Furthermore, I often ride with my wife, so the pillion seat...
My friend Greg just posted a video report on the Guzzi and Magni rally that we held last fall here in Kyushu (southwestern Japan). He's captured some really nice exhaust notes from a wide variety of MG models - check it out if you can. Greg also has a lot of well made videos about motorcycling...
Thanks for the link. I'm looking for a solution - a bag - for just one side of my bike, where is no exhaust pipe. See photo.
Wondering if I need to install a frame. Would prefer not to of course.
OK the VIN# for my 15 v7II is ZGULW1008FM201998
Unfortunately the '09 Classic is gone. My wife had a bad accident on it. She's fine now, but the bike was a write off. For now she's riding two-up with me on the new V7II, but hope she wants to get one for herself next year.
That looks very much like what I want. I have a scrambler-style exhaust, so I have one side open. How is that bag attached to the bike? Can you post the model # for the bag or URL. (I did check the Ortlieb site, but...) - Thanks.
I'll search for the VIN # and post later. As for the Griso, it was traded in. It was tough to say goodbye, but very happy with this new bike. Might be speaking to you about suspension options early next year.
Sold my 2008 8v Griso and got this V7II with some of the scrambler accessories. Almost 2,000 k on it and loving it. Loved the Griso, but happy to have made the switch. Plenty enough power and so much lighter. Next, suspension upgrade and all sorted.

Hello again,
I finally got to talk to my mechanic about this problem. He's willing to try the direct to starter wiring fix for me.
I read the thread about this:
https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/196/4908
But it seems to talk about small blocks first and then, later, less specifically about the...
Thanks for all the replies. If it's such a prevalent issue I'm sure my mechanic will know what to do, and with this feedback I'll be able to make a decision with more confidence - thanks everyone!
Unrelated - but here's a recent shot of my bike in Japan
Thanks for the info Todd.
Will use that info when I meet my mechanic.
BTW - one more quick question: is it OK to bump start a Griso? I was running low on 15a fuses and a long, long way from any stores. So the other day I'd put the bike in 3rd and with a little push it would start quite...
Hello! I have a Griso 8v 1200 (2008) and years ago I had a problem with the "B" fuse blowing out when I tried to start the bike. It did this every once in awhile and then the problem would disappear. My mechanic tried to find the cause but couldn't. Fortunately it just went away.
It was always...
