Sealed Oil - Does it go bad in Cold Elements?

Anyone on here know definitivley if sealed oil goes 'bad' over the course of the winter cold? I had a hidden litre of oil (new) from last year left in my garage over the course of the winter, wondering if there would be any ill effects to it? I've heard possibly that 'wax' forms in the oil in...

Oil Sump Removal - Oil Change

Yup, I've never thought of doing it - thought it was odd watching a few guys on YouTube take it off and clean.

Oil Sump Removal - Oil Change

Just wanted to hear what everyone's opinions in regards to removing the sump during an oil change, do you remove and drain it? or just drain with on? I had noticed a few 'How To' videos online and some guys remove it as the groves at the base still hold oil after draining via drain plug and...

    GTM Monster Builds

Quite honestly, the most beautiful motorcycle I've ever seen. I look forward to seeing one of your creations in person some day Todd. 30 plus years ago, I saw in person my first Guzzi at the Toronto Motorcycle show (at the time, no Guzzi dealers in Canada and maybe North America???). I fell in...

    Clutch Doesn't Disengage When Hot

I as well have had the same issue, for a short period it seemed eratic and only once in a while - I switched oils and now happens all the time after heating up. I'll check my oils in my garage tomorrow and let you know what to avoid. Any ideas on why/if the oil change makes the difference?

    Side Panel Rubber 'bolts'

Anyone know where (besides Guzzi dealer - mine is 2hrs away) you can pick up those little rubber 'bolts' or plugs that the side panels lock into? I pulled a side panel off the other day and one was missing, I'm not sure how? maybe pushed too hard/fast last time I put back on and pushed it...

    V7 Accessories

I have ordered a few items from BAAK as well - the fender eliminator (which I was quite happy with-took some minor 'adjustements' for fitiment) - last items ordered were the side bag and tank strap - unfortunately I understand leather (depending on the hide) will have different colour and...

    GTM ECU V7 & V9 Flash Tool

So, being new to ECU reflashing in general - I've had Todd send myself an updated map, my ECU has been updated and bike thus far is running differently - a good differently! My only mod on my 2014 V7 is Hindle Slip on exhaust. Now, when would I request a 'new' map? only if I change something...

    GTM ECU V7 & V9 Flash Tool

Maybe I missed it, but how did you make out? simple process, and if issues I'm sure someone (a friend or other rider/tech) could assist.

    GTM ECU V7 & V9 Flash Tool

I like the look - maybe a little shorter would be nice, I still havent removed the Hindle badge yet. Yeah, I'm outside of GTA (Ptbo). The popping was out of control prior to re-flash.

    GTM ECU V7 & V9 Flash Tool

I purchased the ECU Unit from Todd couple weeks ago - did the reproramming mid week and was able to take for a quick ride, notice the decel 'pops' were gone (I have Hindle Slip ons). Today I was able to take out for a longer ride - Wow, what a difference in the power delivery - 2nd-3rd...

    Side Panel Change-Seat Lock

hmm...I think maybe because you already have the aluminum side panel? I have the plastic version side panel on my V7 Special...and maybe I'm correct about those little gromets on the inside of the panel - somehow they 'pop' off? then I assume the panel comes apart?

    Side Panel Change-Seat Lock

Hey all, I seached the forums but couldn't find a thread that covered the swap out of the OEM left side panel (with the seat lock). My issue is, how do you 'dismount' the locking mechanism from the old panel? I took off the 'slider' lock but wouldnt push out. I didnt want to force it. Then I...

    Engine Block Paint Match

Anyone know where/how to get matching paint for the engine block - minor, minor touch ups. I notcied a couple areas at the engine block seams where theres a few 'chips' - I would like to cover them up. It looks as though its a basic engine flat black but want to make sure before I go ahead. thx

V7 Charging issues / Dead battery -- PLEASE READ

yup, you are correct - tank slides back a few inches. Quick note, I found that the spark plug wires need adjusting - I actually wrapped one of my wires as they rub against the bottom of the tank and rubs the paint off. Worth taking a look if you all have the chance.

Advice for luggage on V7II wanted

I'm in agreement with Todd - the C-Bows are excellent. Purchased a set from Todd a couple years ago and have been awesome, and they still look pretty decent on. Simple on/off the bike as well. About an hour (or less) to mount the brackets - click and go.
