    Oh it has a fan

Oddly enough, I installed a direct switch to the fan, Its not working either. I will have to investigate my installed switch this weekend. I still aim to change the sensor to ensure a fail safe.

    Oh it has a fan

Hi Wroom, can you provide me with the part number you ordered from AF1? I do have an issue no fan running, today in heavy traffic it got really hot idling, I noticed the red flashing triangle on the dash. I immediately shut the engine for about 5 mins restarted no flashing triangle. I need to be...

    Engine Oil check

Of note, I just changed the oil last Sunday and was surprised to notice that my "special ordered oil filter wrench" did not fit the newest oil filter. The wrench/socket has grooves that did not line-up with the 16 side or how ever many sides the new filter had. It was a pain torquing the new...

    Gas Mileage

I have been tracking gas mileage the last 1000kms. I have noticed a vast difference between highway and city mileage. City numbers are on average 11.5 kms/L or 27 MPG, highway driving 18.5 kms/L or 43.5 MPG. Gas used 92 octane. Anyone else getting numbers similar to this?

    Oh it has a fan

I just got around to installing an on/off switch to manually control the oil cooler fan. Wired into the dedicated fan fused circuit so no trouble overloading circuits. I only plan to use it if required in city stop and go traffic. Still not sure why the fan never powers up on its own, will have...

    Oil seeping.

Thanks for the replies. I am just finished removing the cooler, tightening the bolts, some where not torqued. I did clean up the area, will have to monitor the area closely. I do not have a dealer close by otherwise it would be there on monday. Another thing i am contemplating is wiring a switch...

    Oil seeping.

Hello All. I just noticed some oil seeping or leakage at the front of the bike near the horns. I managed to get a 5mm wrench on a few of the bolts however none were loose. I did not remove the oil cooler to check all of the bolts, I may have to do this and torque the all bolts. I does look like...

    Denali headlight module

Anyone have experience using or installing a different headlamp? I have found the the fitted lamp on the Cali is less than adequate. I am not sure if the Denali M7& or M5 will fit and if the wiring would be difficult or not. The Denali is in 2 different sizes 7 inch and 5 inch. Would it be...

    Horn... A little weak.

I finally got around to upgrading the horns. I used https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B002CJI6J4/ref=pe_386430_193120860_TE_3p_dp_1 The install was very easy, cut down the supplied bracket and bolted on. These horns are much louder than the stock horns.

    Brake Pads

Had my tires changed at the local Triumph dealership, rear pads needed to be changed. They used the same as Triumph Thunderbird, i guess. I am still bedding them in, feels ok at this point.

    Oh No - Not Tires

Just changed from the stock Dunlops to the Bridgestone Extra Max, I got 14000kms from the original tires. I am liking the tires so far, initial input into turns are softer, i hope i get 14000kms or I will install Dunlops again. Of note the rear brake pads were in dire near of change with the...

    Custom seat vs. Touring Seat

Lou, I have used 3 different seats so far. I have not tried the custom seat as I have a touring model. The touring seat that came with the bike, I did not like as previous noted the support was too far back and the seat was too soft for long rides. I then tried the lowered gel seat, it was an...

Just completed a third oil change. Could not find the recommenced Guzzi Italian oil here in Victoria Canada, decided to use Castrol 10W60 TWS Edge. This time I meticulously filled and checked oil dipstick level, only used 3.5 liters was expecting to use 4 liters. Tomorrow planning a long run...
