Replacing the shocks is a must do and should be done first
Anything is an improvement
Hagons can be made up by Dave Quinn to suit your needs.
I have a set of hagons stock length and sprung for a solo 160# Rider that I'll let go for $150
In my opinion a small relatively slow bike with a loud exhaust is silly.
Like a Harley; lots of noise with little progress.
Don't let others know you're having fun; they will try to stop you
I've used MMO successfully for decades.
The most dramatic benefit was realized when we added a few ounces to a friend's gold wing because it had noisy lifter.
It quieted the lifter and it stayed quite
It's also good as a gun oil as it doesn't gum up
My son recently failed a state inspection in Hawaii for not having large enough yellow reflectors on the front of his street triple
Reflective tape made it ok
I spoke to an electrical engineer about charging a 12v battery and the v7 situation.
He is very familiar with12v batteries used in computer UPS battery banks.
A charging voltage of15v+ calls for an immediate replacement of the system VR.
He could not suggest a reason for Guzzi's 15+v spec

An adapter plate is not needed to mount the Mosfet VR.
The stock mounting holes can be easily elongated with a file or rotary cutter, 1/4".
Small spacers should be used on the mounting bolts to keep the Mosfet VR wires away from the front engine cover
The shrink wrap connectors make a neat waterproof connection
Or you can shrink wrap regular connectors as you will probably be encasing the wires in a sheath or tubing anyway
Did mine last weekend. Not technically challenging but a bit fiddly.
No real issues just depressurize the lines before removing the fuel line
The plastic part of the filter is yellowed and swollen in 2 years and3700 miles
Waterproof heat shrink butt connectors are available to make neat splices so you can reuse your stock plugs
I got mine from Amazon but many marine supply shops have them.
Use10ga wire from the VR and splice the red wire to both of the bike's red white wires. 10ga black to both green wires.
Or...
I would say no. There is not enough room to trim the wires stagger the joints solder crimp and shrink wrap it.
It's fiddly work but not difficult.
It took me 4 hours because I kept changing my mind on how to mount it and what size wire to use on the output side: I used10 ga.
I have an unused...
did mine today. first I used the adapter plate from roadster cycle but then the VR fouled the engine guard bar so I just elongated the stock VR mounting holes; now everything clears. the plate will work fine if you don't have "crash bars"
the wiring is very basic and simple. just some soldering...
Just below the throttle body intake is the breather hole from the head breather tubes. It looks like both hoses converge and breath into this hole
I glued a piece of foam air filter material over this hole overlapping it by several inches
I'm hoping the material will seperate the oil from the...
