    Always go over your bike when you get it back from that dealer, i have had loose bolts, missing spacers, striped threads, etc.. i will self service my bikes from now on, or try the guelph shop if i need to.

    There are many ways to do this without an expander, channel locks adjusted to fit inside when closed, then open them, work your way around the pipe, should not mark the pipe at all. another is use the other end of the pipe with out the gasket, slip it in and roll it in a way that the pipe opens...

    my wife and i did a 420 km trip last year, on one tank. the light came on around 280, i felt confident she could make it home, so told her to keep going:) that was all highway or 80km roads. i would not have let her push it that far commuting to work. 13 v7 btw.
