There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. Check your front wheel sensor spokes, there might be foreign matter in there confusing the sensor. Last year on my 1400 Custom I was getting a constant ABS/TC fault, turned out being a small twig caught in the sensor spokes.
I get over to the Whites every summer. Nice especially on really hot humid days, the cool refreshing mountain air. Still not giving up on one more riding day this year, my Custom is not away for the winter yet.
Yes, a ride in central/northern NH next year sounds good !
Been having pinging issues with hard acceleration, not constant but enough now and then to hear above the usual symphony of oil and air cooled motor noise.
Twas time for a valve adjustment so while in there I noticed my right cylinder lower spark plug wire where it meets the boot for the spark...
Update - took Moto-Uno's advice and removed both sensors and cleaned, they both had numerous little metal bits attached, as well as cleaned both wheels and ABS rotors with standard degreaser and dried. Back together, set MGCT to 1 and took off wanting to calibrate but ABS light went out before I...
2013 Custom. Removed the battery to replace the air filter and when all back together found my MGCT setting cleared, yellow ABS on dash but no other warnings or service codes.
Went into the calibration screen, 2nd gear @ 18mph for at least 30 seconds, still 'CALIBRATING' flashing on the dash...
Yeah, that's all folks but hopefully MG can marriage their new big block WC motor to their next cruiser frame.
I own a '03 Titanium and a '13 1400 Custom yet still yearn for the MGX, at least until they release their new WC cruiser line.
I doubt any type of epoxy will work for more than a few rides. Unless you can fabricate or braze something that you know will hold up to the bumps, grinds and vibrations from this motorcycle its best to order a replacement. I had the same thing happen to my 2013 Custom, 2 of the 3 tabs sheared...
Close inspection might reveal a crack in or around one or more of the 3 formed plastic bolt holes, my Custom rear fender failed a few months in and the first thing I noticed was that it was 'bouncy' too.
Anything over 14 volts while in motion is fine, your battery is charging. Dropping voltage while idling at a traffic light is normal.
I would not recommend starting it once a week unless you are going to ride it for at least a half hour, besides the engine wear - idling at low revs such as...
I bought my '15 Cali Custom At Seacoast in 2014, they are also a Ducati dealership, only been back a few times (first service and cracked rear fender mount under the seat under warranty), no dealer issues except they are very busy, advice is to make an appointment well in advance.
