    V85TT Evap and Tip Info

My experience with this valve on my V7II is that it's main function is not a check valve. It is a pressure relief valve that works both ways: when the pressure, or vacuum, in the tank exceeds a certain level it will release some pressure to equalize the pressure. It does function as a check...

    V7III touring/knobby/ scrambler tires?!

I ran this TrailRider combo on my V7II Stone. The front tire looked like a tractor tire, but it worked just fine. At 10k miles on the front tire it still have another 10k miles of tread left, but---I discovered that the rubber between the lugs was cracking, and was so thin that I could see the...

    Flat Tire= Blue Pipes?

If the traction control cuts the spark and does not cut the fuel you will have excess fuel that will burn in the pipes and get them hotter than usual, causing them to "blue". You do not need a new map for this one time event. Dan

2016 V7II - Surging after fuel filter change - found issue

I had a somewhat similar problem. Something to check: Are the connectors fully seated and clipped in properly? I had one that wasn't, and the vibration at different rpms would cause loss of power.

    Early V7 Radial Tire Thread

Has anyone tried the Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A41? They are radial 90/10 dual sport tires.

    Early V7 Radial Tire Thread

Many (all?) of the modern BMW spoked wheels (12+GS in particular) are cross-spoked wheels with the spokes in the wheel flanges (not in the air chamber like MG).

H&B center stand vs original for V7iii

I use a scissor jack with some adjustable lift posts for my V7II, many available at a variety of prices. Here's one: https://www.discountramps.com/motorcycle-lift-jack/p/MC-JACK/ I use it on the frame rails. FWIW: HB centerstand on V7II: no interference with OEM US sidestand, up or down.

Oops! I didn't look at everything on their website. Another option, more expensive, but plug and play.... Choice of low/high beam, or for more $, one that lights up around the corner when you lean. Available from Todd: https://www.guzzitech.com/store/category/electronics/ Dan

    Battery dead again .... V7III

A couple of experiences: I know a dealer who had several premature battery failures; the problem was traced to a new employee who was not properly trained. After adding the acid he decided the water level was too low and added more water. (not saying that that happened to anybody here) Lithium...

    Stornello handguards?

I installed BarkBuster Storms; I've used them on other bikes. They are sturdy and large - decent wind protection when it's cold. Their website recommended some that were center mount only - that would work for wind, but I wanted protection for the levers in a tip over - have broken too many. I...

    Early V7 Radial Tire Thread

    1. In the size charts there is a column that has "R" or "ZR". for Radial or Zero Radial. I'm not sure "Zero Radial" means because I thought that radial meant that the cord ply was at zero degrees. My guess is that conventional radials have some zero plies and some bias plies, whereas the ZRs...

Is it normal that I have to warm up my V7II 2016?

I have a stock V7II with the most recent OEM fuel map. I start the engine, and then put in my earplugs, and put on my helmet, sun glasses and gloves. I then get on the bike and ride. I do not ever have a stalling problem with this short warn-up. Sometimes it doesn't go into first gear with the...

Stone tire size and style ?

The Heidenau tire for the front is a tube type tire. I doubt that they are radials - there is no "R" in the size designation. Kenda K76 are available in tubeless and the proper sizes. I am running Avon TrailRiders with a rear on the front, reversed (it looks like a tractor tire with the deep...
