yep I fitted one of Todds y pipes to my Breva, ( so beautifully made they are ) tip was to have all slightly loose as in headers , y pipe , muffler etc , then jiggle till it all sits in place, and sure enough - when it did , tighten your nuts up . The std gasket to muffler is a bit naf. ( and...
Hi Tom and welcome to Guzzi ownership.

Like the way you think Todd
nice marriage of tonti frame heritage and "modern" Guzzi engine and all.
I've had a few round barrels 750 , 850 , 1000 , V50's and now the 2005 Breva.
The breva does fantastic job of taking me and the missus across australia. but its "heavy" "soft" and "tall" for...
Hi,
I was browsing and came back across this. Now May 2018
Tony is absolutely correct and owners in Australia should not have to pay anything when warranty applies to the product.
Visit the ACCC website - I recently refused an Australian AirCon manufacturer request I pay labour to have their...

Hi Joe,
well , there was a known issue with early uni joints ? back then but anything that has been used for 12 years should have had the factory fix done.
2 valve motor , all you need, no special issues I would say , but mine has still only done 28000 km's . Standard Guzzi "faults" all easily...
Wow , $ 6k for a Monza ? wish I still had mine. Main thing is if it fits you physically . Totally different to your Eldo.
Monzas have clip on bars but you can change the top yoke to V50 and fit normal handlebars .
The V50 / monza are so easy to ride , and handle exceptionally well. Typical...
Hi guys, been off line awhile , hope everyone had a merry and safe Christmas and New Year.
As a 2005 Breva owner , touch wood narry a problem that isn't standard Guzzi practice . my 2 cents worth
The starter relay must be changed from "factory schematic" . sorry you engineers and tech guys...
Hi Dug
Its all relative but I run out of breath long before my 1100 2V Breva does......
My local Garage Motorcycles just tweaked the tuning for more grunt out of corners , and its great . no need to rev its head off 5 -6 is all you need - just change up a gear and away we go again ! - its all...
Hi, i enjoy watching your project. The T5 was an ugly duckling, so in need of new robes. i like your enthusiasm and lack of boundaries .
dave in australia ,
Hi,
If you had an actual oil pressure gauge fitted you would understand better why your motor was not happy. Lack of airflow/cooling from lack of moving in stop / start traffic , It got too hot. I have seen my oil pressure drop (an older Guz ) from gauge reading of usually 35-40 psi to almost...
Hi , sometimes the long way is the quickest. You may have to move the wheel out at least half way...
Just make sure when all is in place and also when tightened up that the speedo drive tab washer is in the correct place and is not binding when you turn the wheel by hand. There should be a...
Hi,
Just on the fuel consumption side , i didnt notice much difference after replacing cat with x over on 1100 Breva.
The dash reading in true Guzzi fashion is a vague liar. I mostly ride two up , often with the panniers on. On a run it usually indicates 37 mpg ( i have converted to US gall) but...
My pinging was always worse with "country fuel" but has almost disappeared since a timing and balance retune , vibes will move around according to tune, yes those motors will pull from not much more than 2000 up really well ! if you can eliminate the pink.
keep it simple
dave
Hi
try a new spark plug , and always carry a new spare. Make sure you have the correct / same type as the " good one" Gap should not need to be adjusted on a new plug - if you have some other problem , this plug change will make no difference , but eliminate one possibility. new plugs can...
