Lots of Oil in the air filter box California 1400

My bike has about 7,500 miles on it. After the last ride I was cleaning it and found oil drips on the left side pipe. It was dripping off the intake runner cover. Pulled that off and found the intake runner covered in oil and grime. Took it to our new dealer. Old guy cashed it in after 40 yrs...

    Mistral Carbon Mufflers

I've had carbon Misrals since new - 6,000 mi. Look great and sound great too. Even with db killers in they were still a little loud for me. I ordered Moose Racing muffler packing and wrapped it around the db killers held in place with supplied SS zip ties. Used screw driver to open up holes...

Took the Barn Door Windshield Off...

I love the way your chopped down windshield looks. How is the wind protection? I put the barn door and lowers on my custom with mixed results. Still get significant buffeting. And can ride with my visor party open but not full open - I'm 5' 9" What could I expect if I cut down the barn door...

    Cal1400 7 months in..

Wow most everyone's on the same page on most issues - at 3,000 mi om my Custom my feed back is. - I installed the barn door touring windscreen and lowers and it's an improvement but I still get buffeting above 70 coming from under the windscreen and over the tank and cylinders. May try the Givi...

    Exhaust

I went with Minstral carbon fiber cans. Look great sound great. I tried with and with out and opted to keep the db killers in. No issues with popping or idle. Can't compare to stock as I had dealer install them before I took delivery.

    Cal 1400 Bar Options

The stock Custom "drag bars" were to far a reach for me resulting in pain between the shoulder blades on long rides. Touring bars come back further and eliminate the problem for me.

    Cal 1400 Bar Options

My dealer installed the touring bars on my Custom. What an improvement! He did not need to replace any of the lines.

    Oh No - Not Tires

My experience with Dunlap fronts is they cup fast (BMW K bike). At 2,300 mi on my Cali Custom I can see cupping on the front. I ride hard on mountain roads but the Cali is handles well until the floor boards scape and Guzzi boasts about its handle inns. Tires should support the marketing. I'll...

    MGX-21 - C14 Prototype

Yuck. I would prefer a OEM integrated fairing that eliminates the buffeting issues the barn door OEM windshield delivers. Please address functionality befor style.

My dealer is installing my touring bars and heated grips next Wednesday. He still thinks it can be done w/o new lines. He is a small shop owner and extremely forthright on avoiding extra costs. I will let y'all know how it goes. Anyone known the cost of the line replacement?

The new bars are at the dealers and will probably get installed next week. AF1 web site indicated new hoses are needed. My dealer measured and said the are not. I'll let you know who's right.

    Cal 1400 Screen Options

Several hundred miles now. Big improvement over no shield. Wind breaks at the crown of my helmet. If I ride with visor up turbulence makes my eyes water. Notch the visitor down a few clicks yields a big improvement. Still get a lots of turbulence behind the windshield over 60. Going to try...

I I read that one a while back and plan to revisit it. Thanks for the reminder. I've only ridden witht the new windshield once for < 100 mi. And on a very windy day. Been raining in AZ for the last week or so, so not enough time to ride much. I would like to put a few hundred more miles on...

    Cal 1400 Screen Options

Mike Thanks for getting back to. I ended getting the barn door windshield from the Touring. It's a big improvement but will need some tweeting. The air blast is now at the top of my helmet, but if I ride visor up I get tons of turbulence in my eyes. Living in AZ, I like the extra air with the...

I sprung for the stock touring windshield. Installed it today. Easy but lower windshield mounting bolts were short by 5mm. Ride tomorrow. I may cut it down after I get some miles on it.

I got my Custom last week and I love it but want some wind protection. I see you have the MG fly screen. It looks great. Does it provide any protection?
