    Non charging Griso

Thats interesting, o be honest i don't know if the lights go out first, as its daylight. I have just put an hours charge in the battery and it starts ok and runs with the headlight on but with no charge, does that mean its not got that problem?

    Non charging Griso

OK, so the Griso has been in the shop as it just stops charging, they have had it to bits and checked the alternator and all the other connections. Cleaned the battery terminals etc, ran it for a while and it now all charges. Got it back on Friday and went for the first ride today, charged fine...

sorry to hear that, lets hope the fix is cheap :-)

    Clutch electrical connection

Thanks Asylum, so basically it shouldn't cause a problem. Brian, the switch had come apart and there were bits hanging out!, properly broken. It look at a cursory glance that it was built into the clutch assembly, if it only needs the cable and the microswitch is built into the end of the cable...

    Clutch electrical connection

There is an electrical connection attached to the clutch. The manual says it does the following below. I guess it allows starting in gear? "If the gear is engaged but the clutch is pulled i.e. circuit closed to ground, vehicle startup is enabled anyway" Mine i noticed is broken today. I have...

    Griso, observations so far

OK Klaas. Your rear adjustments looked quite radical, but today i took the rebound out too 30 clicks and compression out to 3 turns, the difference is nothing short of amazing :-) i am going to try your settings exactly later in the week, will let you know. Haven't tried the front but everyone...

New crank as it failed when the tappet problem dumped material into the oil, ditto the cases

I will give it a go and see, thanks

    Griso, observations so far

OK, let me know how you get on. I was looking at reducing the pre-load first of all but without introducing too much sag. It does feel however that the rising rate increases too much on larger bumps. I am 13st 7lb to give you an idea. Cheers, Keith

That would be a good call, more ground clearance and faster steering :-)

    Griso, observations so far

Hi Todd, i agree with you, i will persevere with what i have for the rest of this season and look next year. It feels as though the rising rate is too steep but i dont have the facilities to test, will keep in touch, cheers for your help

    Griso, observations so far

Ah, that explains the schrader valve, thanks! it seems a shame you have to replace the suspension on a new bike these days to get it to work properly, i will persevere until i can afford something better, many thanks

    Griso, observations so far

I think there are lots of thermal efficiency issues other than the larger volume of oxygen from the cooler weather, engines generally run at a specific temperature and fuel needs to be warm to atomise etc etc. There are people on here with greater knowledge than i :-)

    Griso, observations so far

I can probably live with the surging, i have read on this site about reflashes and as you say other goodies, but it is low on the list. Nice to know the MPG improves with age, i was just surprised it did the same MPG however i rode it. The suspension had been played with and was setup harder...

    Griso, observations so far

I was in oxford at the weekend when i was pushing it on a bit, but i will sort out the rear suspension and post what i find. I need a way to remove the suspension and play with the shock. I see there is a schrader valve under the seat that i have no idea what its use is??

    Griso, observations so far

New to me Griso with 2300 miles on the clock. Its just had an engine rebuild to fix the heads and also needed a new crank and crankcase, i have now done 600 miles over the weekend, from running it in to giving it some grief. I love the bike, and boy does it fly! this is what i have found 1/...
