Routing SAE cable for GPS mount

Spliced mine into the back of the USB socket on the dash. Works fine, and it's switched.

After the first 400 miles a better rear shock may be something I look into.

thanks todd, I will also be keeping an eye out. Although shipping to the UK can be cost prohibitive.

    Replacement Foot Pegs

I transferred the SW Motech pegs that I had on my V85s, much nicer.

Journalist write up on the New Stelvio

I'm with Clifton. I absolutely love the new Stelvio but, on anything but smooth tarmac the suspension is a little harsh. The suspension will be upgraded ASAP. Mines also going in for a complete colour change. I really don't like the colour schemes or the flat paint. I'm torn between red and...

    V100 H20 Stelvio Chat

I saw it in the flesh at my dealers in the UK on the 16th. I had already put in a preliminary order, but put in my official order on the night. I currently have a V100 mandello S and a GDO V85. The V100S is going in part ex. The bike looked very nicely finished and a lot nicer than the pictures...

    V85TT clutch slack adjust

Just had a snapped cable on my 2022 V85 after 2200mls. I suspect the nipple was not moving freely in the lever and was therefore bending the cable each time the clutch was operated.

    V100 Details & Poll

I came late to Guzzi's, bought my first Stelvio in 2014, I'm now 66. I've since owned around 16 Guzzi's. I just want to experience as many as I can. So yesterday I committed to the V100 and put down a £500 deposit (refundable) I currently own a 2016 Stelvio and a 2021 KTM 1290sas. If I really...

    V85TT Mods Thread

Got mine last Saturday, unfortunately they gave me the wrong extender. I was out last Thursday ,Friday,Saturday without the mudguard, I don't think I've ever seen a bike that mucky.

    Thanks folks, now sorted.

    Schoolboy error!

I think you are correct sir, thank you. As from next week, here in the UK, I'll be classed as an 'older adult'. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

    Schoolboy error!

I'm usually pretty good at noting where bits go as I remove them, but today I've had the rear wheel out of my recently acquired 2013 touring and for the life of me do not remember seeing two flat washers as I removed it. The obviously go on the rear wheel spindle somewhere, but where? I've...

    V85TT Mods Thread

Hi Todd, I'd be very interested as to why you think 'Booster plugs' are risky. Serious question, I'm not trying to incite a long debate.

    V85TT Mods Thread

I've always been slightly dubious of the claims made by 'Booster Plug'. But being a consummate tinkerer I couldn't help myself. Fitted it last Saturday, it's slightly fiddley but still only took around 15mins. Set off in the heavy rain and immediately the bike felt slightly different. My bike is...

    V85TT Registry and pic thread

At around 250mls, I'd been away for a week, not on the bike, came back and went out on the V85. As let the clutch out and rode off, it made a horrible crunching sound, then lurched forward fully engaging first gear. It would then do it to a lesser degree whilst changing from 2nd to 3rd. After...

    V85TT Ride Review

Has anyone tried running their V85 in 'Off Road Mode'? I've run mine like this for over 2500mls now. I don't know if Guzzi mixed up the mapping, but it certainly feels more responsive in this mode especially when coming off those tight 2nd and 3rd gear bends on the gnarly back roads. Yes I know...

    V85TT Registry and pic thread

ZGUKWA004KM002209 Steve Howell, Yorkshire England. First Reg . 01/06/19 Adv Red. Now 3500mls. New clutch at 200mls, thanks to Teasdales, Thirsk Yorkshire, great service. Hard panniers, QD exhaust and Y piece, bash plate and exhaust guards painted black (looks great). Awaiting heated grips and...

    V85TT Mods Thread

I've a set of heated grips put aside at Teasdales, just awaiting a set of spotlights as it's apparently easier to fit the lights whilst the tank is off. I've provisionally agreed to lend my bike to 'Pyramid plastics' for a couple of weeks while they develop a front fender, rear hugger and hand...

    V85 TT Info

I have a QD exhaust and Y piece on mine. It came with a detachable 25mm muffler which was to quite and didn't produce any sort of throatiness. Without baffle opening was 50mm and to loud. I had a baffle made at 33mm opening, sounds perfect, and runs very nicely.
