    V7 & V9 Ohlins Shocks

After having Öhlins on my V7 for a few years, I can truly recommend this upgrade. Rear is rock steady yet very comfortable. Did I mention they look good?

GTM V7R-820 QuattroValvole Info & Dyno Runs

A 4valver in Denmark! I 'm sitting on a pair of Lario heads here in Gothenburg, Sweden dreaming of converting but figured all shipping fees would cost more than the parts. I'd like to chat some to understand what costs it brings sending the parts from Scandinavia to US and back. Will be riding...

    V7 record fairing

Here's what I did, in my opinion the perfect fender mod if you don't want a complete elimination. I removed the bulky rear fender and swapped it for the front fender which I then replaced with the shorter front fender for the race model. Then I replaced the taillight for a CEV from the original...

Changing gear box oil, but where?

I know this is a rather dumb question but as I can't find any useful information on the web, in the user or workshop manual I turn to you just to see if there's a solution I have overlooked. Do you really fill up using the inspection hole on the side of the gearbox ? On my old T3 that is the...

    V7 C-S Suspension Thread

I tried this to get the frame more parallel to the ground and was a bit worried bout how handling was to be changed. Bike just got a bit quicker in the steering, but not nervous at all.

    V7 C-S Suspension Thread

I have Öhlins rear suspension on my bike that I had custom ordered from the factory two years ago (the perks of living in Sweden). Happy with the way the rear is behaving, great improvement even though I 'm not an aggressive rider. Really have to do something about the forks to get the entire...

    V7 Classic 'chrome' horn covers

I removed mine. They just clip on to the horm. Perhaps the cold you mention is the problem, the covers are chromed plastic so the will probably be less ridgid if you bring the bike into a warm place.

V7 Stone - new custom seat / tail unit sketch

Thanks! Mufflers are from the Legendary Magni in Italy. http://www.magni.it Sound is astonishing, even better than the looks . Made on order but only for the V7 classic Had to work a bit on the brackets to mount on the higher mounts of the café model (made new ones to replace the ugly cast...

V7 Stone - new custom seat / tail unit sketch

This was my solution. I used the front fender to replace the bulky original rear fender, it's even got perfect groves to install Kellerman indicators on. I bought a short front fender from the race model. To match the fender I also changed the rear tyre to a 120 wide (it was due anyway. My tail...

Taking the horn by the bull!

I treated myself with a pair of Vox Bel horns, sounds not much louder but The Magni pipes make up for the quietness and the Vox Bel two tone is beautiful, beside that they look loads better. Sadly they also rust easily so I'm thinking of blasting and painting as I'm tired of polishing.

    2012 V7 with 4V Heads

Been reading with great interest, I'm looking forward to hear more from your experience. Thanks for sharing the know how. I have a V7 café that I have worked on over the years but keept original when it comes to the engine. As I happened to get my hands on a pair of 4V heads I'm really tempted...

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Updated the original post with some pictures snapped with my phone today. Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I'm really happy, I put in a lot of work to find all the right look and parts to match that. A lot of credit goes to Adam Nestor who lay down the paint job and did most of the assembly job...

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

I got my 2010 V7 cafe in 2012. Reason I bought it was I had a Harris half fairing and needed a bike. The V7 showed up and they just seemed right for each other. Had ridden the bike before and loved it, price was right too. Rode it 2012 and releaved bike from unneccesary parts, grab rails, big...

Charging problems on V7 Cafe '11

Battery is fine, the Shurai charger gave it thumbs up, cranks bike with no fuss so no damage. Would the burnt connector be typical of busted regulator?

Charging problems on V7 Cafe '11

Thanks for the reply. Hope you are right, that will put me back on the road quick. Battery is still fine, it's a Li-Io Shurai that I have on all my bikes. Half the size of the original gives me space for my Disc lock and tools. Worth the steep price. Before replacing, I'm bewildered by the...

Charging problems on V7 Cafe '11

Hi, my first post here, hope someone can help me out. Bike suddenly stopped. Quickly realized the battery was drained. I started looking for what could have caused this. After checking that the 30 amp charge fuse was ok I removed the tank and imediately found the problem, or so I thought. A...
