Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

You might want to consider finding a reputable shop (like Todd's) to check out your bike. It's worth the time and money to have a diagnostic run on the bike to pinpoint the cause of the error. This issue can happen unexpectedly and you definitely don't want to get stranded in the middle of...

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

Bill, I was in the same boat a while ago. My bike went to urgent service mode in the middle of a trip. Even worse there were no dealers in the vicinity. I ended up towing my bike home (300 miles). At the time, I also considered selling my bike to get one more dependable with service readily...

Eldorado 1400 too much bike for beginner?

I purchased a 2008 Suzuki C90 weighing about 740 lbs. after a lapse in riding (34 years). My previous bike was a '71 Honda 750 which I took cross country in 1974. I completed the MSF rider course (along with the advanced course) and it helped me when it was time to take the bike on the street...

    California 1400 Fluid Changes

Been there, done that. Previously posted in this forum, my California fell victim to overfilling the oil while I was in New Mexico. The urgent service lit up but I managed to get it to Prescott, AZ for service. ( I also got stranded in Bishop, CA but that's another story). Since then, I've...

    Great Compliment for Todd today

Agreed! I'm especially fortunate to have Todd right down the street and he has upgraded my 1400 so it runs like a beast. His efforts include replacing the demand sensor, new brakes and rotors on the front end as well as the upgraded fueling system and a full ss exhaust system. The bike runs...

    First Ride, Fueling Kit.

You won't be disappointed; significant increase in performance and sounds great. I went with the megs on my '14 California which were installed at Todd's shop. Good luck!

    First Ride, Fueling Kit.

I totally agree! I just picked up my '14 California from Todd with the fueling mods and exhaust upgrade. What a difference; it's not the same bike. It was a nice bike to begin with but now it's a beast. I immediately noticed the improvement in acceleration and I can't wait to put on some...

    Ignition switch removal trouble...

Thanks for the info. Todd's shop uncovered the same issue with my ignition.

    Ignition switch removal trouble...

Sorry but a similar situation happened to me on my '14 California. I was up north in Carmel when I had a no start. I turned the key to start, hit the fob, and pressed the starter switch - nothing. I repeated the sequence and it started up. This has happened several times but I've always...

    Roperville AH

Glad I don't know this Roper guy; he seems like a real piece of work. However, I do know Todd as he has worked on my bike several times and resolved some issues that Guzzi dealers failed to correct. I can also attest to Todd's professionalism and commitment to the Guzzi community in the...

RideMalibu - Rent A Guzzi coming to an end

Sorry to hear that Todd. If I ever needed to rent a bike, I would have been knocking on your door.

I enjoy reading your posts. Looking forward to more! Dave

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

The bike had a serious pulsating issue with the front brakes. I had taken it to 2 franchised dealers while it was under warranty but the front brakes were never quite right. Just plain annoying when you're coming to a stop.

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

Since I picked up my bike from Todd's shop, I've put on 1,600+ miles without an issue. This included a trip to Napa Valley. Todd replaced the sensor, cleaned the throttle body, and remedied the front end issue with new rotors and pads. I must say the bike acted like new and reminded me why I...

Guzzi Mechanic in the Phoenix Area (East Valley)

Sorry - I just saw your post. I would recommend Matt at Powersports Outlet in Prescott. They fixed my California when I broke down in New Mexico.

Montreal - Yukon - Baja California and back: mototherapy on a Guzzi V7

I can relate. Back in 1974, we were returning from a cross country run back to New Hampshire when our group was pulled over on hwy. 80 in Indiana. We had 2 custom Honda 750s and an old primer Ford van. I was trailing at 65 mph in the fast lane and noticed a trooper on my butt so I moved into...

My brand new 2016 Audace update!

I picked up my California Touring in October 2014. I was sold after the dealer tossed me the keys and told me to take the demo bike out for the afternoon. When I came back, I had a big smile on my face so he basically had me. So far, I've taken the bike through California, Arizona, Nevada...

Count me in too! Thanks Todd for this forum and being there when I needed someone to fix my bike before I got rid of it. Dave

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

I just picked up my bike from Todd's shop in Orange, CA. They replaced the air temperature sensor and cleaned the intake manifold, throttle body, etc. and cleared the codes from the system. They also performed the 5K maintenance service. I was fortunate to meet with Todd who explained what...

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

Just a suggestion. You might want to head over to your local shop to see if they can pull an error code. Sometimes a problem (such as I had with my bike going into limp mode with "service" and "urgent service" message) will temporarily clear after several restarts only to reappear later. In...
