    Oh No - Not Tires

That's what I initilly thought, but no... 130cc is 5.1" and it is listed as a rear tire.... for a Harley mind you.

    Oh No - Not Tires

The MT90B-16 is Harley-Davidson Bias Ply touring tire and is 130/90-16 in metric size.

How many miles on a tank of fuel? Fuel seeping out of cap

You might be onto something there John. I didn't really think it through.

    Connecting electrical accesories

The TomTom Rider 400 plugs right in to the connection under the front of the tank. It was designed to work with the bike. I also believe the new Media Platform Technology that Moto Guzzi is bringing out on their bikes can be retrofitted as well.

    Adios!

I have a BMW R80 Airhead Twin for my second bike. Although it's a 1986 model the insturments ARE NOT FOGGED UP! I have my Guzzi's replaced once only to have the new unit fog up within a couple of hundred miles and yet... the manufacture STILL instists there is no problem. Really, if Moto...

How many miles on a tank of fuel? Fuel seeping out of cap

You know.. looking at the parts manual it appears it would be fairly easy to remove the fuel gauge (13) and adjust the height of the float, if by no other means than simply bending the wire so that it is suspended higher in the tank. I might give it a try.

How many miles on a tank of fuel? Fuel seeping out of cap

My 1400 Customs’s gas gauge is extremely pessimistic. It registers full up to 80miles then drops like a dive bomber, going on “ reserve “ anywhere from 115miles onward. I have run 150 miles supposedly on fumes, but when I top off the tank only have put in 3.5 gallons. Based on that, I would...

Fogging Speedo - how bad before going for replacement?

I wonder if enough owners complained to the NHTSA if a recall could be effected? It's obvious that a fair number of the speedometer/instruments are fogging & that there is a problem with their manufactoring process. I have owned many many bikes and none of them ever had this problem, even...

    Purgatory ...again.

I had a simular problem at that rpm. The bike would rev, hit 4k no power, then go again. Turned out that I had the traction controll turned up too high and once reduced from " 3 " to " 2 "... problem solved.

    Rear brake pad replacement.

Dennis, great intell on the speed bleeders. Do these work on the front calipers as well?

Fogging Speedo - how bad before going for replacement?

I had the Speedometer replaced under warranty only for the new unit to start fogging within a couple of months. It still does so without rhyme nor reason, sometimes on a clear low humidity day. To unfog it, I run the headlight instead of the LED option. Moto Guzzi claims it's not a problem.

Transform the ride quality on your Custom

I followed JB's instructions way back when & it sure made a difference in my Custom's ride. It handled beautifully after the adjustment! Haven't touched the settings since.

    Mileage and Issues

I have road tested every single Indian model they make and I don't think any of them hold a candle compared to my 2014 California 1400 Custom in either handling or performance. The Guzzi is a Sport/Cruiser which is a completely different catagory. I currently have 24K on the clock and very...

For the California 1400 Custom you want the OEM Moto Guzzi Screen Kit 2S000028. It really does knock the wind off your chest. See my picture of it installed.

    California 1400 Reliabilty Opinions?

I have the OEM heated grips for the California Custom and they are 34mm in diameter. I have the exact opposite problem in that these grips cause my hands to cramp with the small radius. I have ordered some grip Buddies Super Shark Grips Wraps in hopes of increasing the diameter. I have no...

    Converting Touring to Custom

I seem to remember they were from harpermoto.com/oem-moto-guzzi-illustrated-parts-catalog.html But I believe that AF-1 also has some into. My advice is addition to Guzzitech, join the Moto Guzzi National Owners Club. They can hook you up with a manual and a lot of good information. Good value...

    Converting Touring to Custom

Take into account, the California Custom Seat is a solo seat, however switching between seats take just a turn of a key and less than 10 seconds. In my case the OEM seat was good for around 90 miles before it started to be uncomfortable. Just remember these bikes are hand built and no two are...

    Converting Touring to Custom

There is a differences between the two bikes suspension with the Custom have remote resevoirs on the the rear shocks. I would advise against trying to convert a Custom to a Touring as the price of the individual componets will far exceed the price difference between the two models. The...

OEM Touring Seat after 8000 miles

I went from the Custom seat to the OEM Touring seat to a Corbin. To be fair, the Custom was good for about 90 miles of riding, the Touring around 120 miles. The Corbin AFTER breaking it in ( it took a heck of a lot longer than the 500 miles advertised) is good for the whole day. I'm 6 ft and...
