    RIP Price Sloan

Price was a regular rider and contributor in the SW Guzzi community of riders for at least the last 11 years. Over these years, he became a master welder, developing custom exhaust systems of his own design as well as collaborating with GuzziTech on some very innovative designs. He was always a...

    RIP Price Sloan

It saddens me to post that we lost Price Sloan on Tuesday. He had been fighting illness for some time. If you knew Price, you loved him. Enough cannot be said. You can email Carolyn, Price's wife, directly at: psloan3500@ca.rr.com Todd is in the Dominican Republic, so he's having trouble...

    The Stelvio rides again...thanks Todd

Sorry, Todd, to underestimate the cost of the new Stelvio wheel-- but I knew that any Guzzi tubeless wheel is at least $600. No idea a new one for the Stelvio would set me back twice that. Ouch.

    The Stelvio rides again...thanks Todd

After a long ordeal resulting from a 2-inch gash and a handful of broken spokes, the Stelvio is back on the road. Todd did a great job of sourcing the spokes, and more importantly, the expertise for relacing the wheel so that it's true and doesn't leak air. Had I gone to any Guzzi dealer, the...

Motorcycle show in Long beach Sunday, anyone goin

Sorry, just saw this. Did you go, Jon? I was there on Sunday afternoon with my friend, Sawsan. Sawsan rides an '02 650 V-Star, and her apartment mate, Denise, works up at Pro Italia. We checked out most of the bikes, sat on a few, did some shopping when the vendors started getting desperate the...

You don't have to take shit from any fekking Anglo. You're certainly as American as anyone in the lower 48, and more American than the vast...

    Ride saturday morning?

Managed to catch Bob before he left, and talked him into waiting for Tessie and me to meet him at Newcomb's. Had a great ride to Wrightwood behind Bob, a tasty club sandwich and sweet potato fries, then a straight shot back to Sunland and on home. Bob and I are enjoying the fueling improvements...

    Got the full boat...

From my most recent (and best yet) map, it looks like I could have saved myself some trouble by starting out with a range of +/-30. That 2K-4K rpm range I mentioned to you that seemed "a bit rich" got leaned out as much as -27. I've been applying the trims after different types of riding (round...

    Got the full boat...

Hey, Todd, I was nosing around the pc v utility, and I noticed that the +\- 20 limitation is a configurable parameter. Does it make sense to widen that range for the first couple of iterations and save some time/trouble in saving trims and uploading maps over and over? I can see narrowing the...

    Got the full boat...

I'll be doing the same. It's just taking several iterations to get a viable map to go with. When all the trims are within 10 or so, AND the bike is running smoothly across the rpm range, then I'll stop the frequent mapping updates, this per todd's rec.

    Got the full boat...

Todd installed the PC V w/AT on Wednesday, and slowly but surely, I'm building a viable map. Only a few spots that are correcting at >20, and not too many between 10 and 20, and each iteration gets a little smoother, a little more responsive. Thanks, Todd. Looking forward to getting it nailed...
