V7 Racer fuel pressure regulator question.

Well, I guess I posted in the right thread, because I had the exact same issue all said and done. I'll never know if my old fuel pump & filter could have survived the caked-on ethanol gum deposits from sitting without stabilizer added, but I do know now that it wouldn't have been pretty. Now...

V7 Racer fuel pressure regulator question.

Woooo it started right up first try! Another V7 resurrection!

V7 Racer fuel pressure regulator question.

I just pulled the regulator, and bingo. I can blow air straight through it, it's not holding any pressure at all. New regulator is out for delivery, should have news by the end of the day today. Also discovered a nice helping hand trick for fuel tank/pump removal :inlove:

V7 Racer fuel pressure regulator question.

Thanks for the info @john zibell. I wonder if it will run a little rich with fuel pressure at 50psi instead of 45psi. Todd remapped my bike in 2015, O2 (lambda) sensors disconnected. Is this safe?

V7 Racer fuel pressure regulator question.

Thanks for this thread, I might be having the same issue w/ my 2015 V7 that sat for a while. Getting the same "starts for a few seconds then dies". I can sometimes get it going longer by holding the throttle ever so slightly open, but if I let go it dies, and there are lots of misfires/pops...

V7 Stone - Tighten Clutch (Arm Adjuster)

Gotta love it! :D Exact same thing happened to me after switching levers. Fast forward about 8 months and it had become so bad (just as you said) that I went looking for the arm adjuster. Seconding what Todd mentioned about leaving the arm alone. I am one of the folks he speaks of that needed...

2013 V7 Stone - Dealer flashed new firmware

Factory ECU map (even the new updated one they are giving out at the dealers) is set to run very lean. As well, it is programmed for Euro petrol which is generally higher quality of fuel. Equates to even more lean for us. The ECU reflash that Todd offers is a great idea to consider if you want...

    CLUTCH AARRGH!

Sounds like your clutch cable might have stretched a little bit, which lessens the amount that the clutch can disengage. Also the lock ring that keeps the clutch adjuster tight might also have become loose, which allows the clutch adjuster to move around and change the setting (usually in the...

    V7 Stone Levers

That's really interesting, and totally makes sense. For now I bought a pair of those qwi nerve protector gloves. They have some strategically placed pads. That way I don't have to suffer for fashion ;)

OK what is the secret handshake

Perhaps the fuel delivery line was pinched upon reinstall of the tank? I've read about that happening to the fuel line on some V7's Hope it stays running great!

    Magazi round black mirrors

Nice! This is my first bike so I can't even imagine what a fast one like that must feel like! The 750 in the Stone feels like plenty for me.. right now at least ;) I live in LA so we rarely ever get rain here. And if we did, I'd prolly be driving the truck! Haha. So sorry, no real feedback on...

    V7 Stone Levers

Oh yeah you are right, thanks for pointing that out! It doesn't seem to bug me too much with the position as it is pretty close to stock with the high rise version (probably only lowered by a few cm). I am only 5'8". If you are tall, it might be worth considering the other rear sets? Off to...

    V7 Stone Levers

I was wondering if someone might notice that. Shameless use of photo composition ;)

    Magazi round black mirrors

Thanks so much Das! I really appreciate it. The improvements have really turned it up a notch from my perspective, too. The bike feels so much tighter and compact while lane splitting. Feels more zippy and less like a wide cockpit you might find on a cruiser. I like that a lot, it inspires me to...

    V7 Stone Levers

Just installed GT's adjustable levers today, actually :) They come in a bunch of different colors just like the pazzo's. I opted for the darker silver (gunmetal?). A little bit less expensive. Just realized I have to slide the adjustment boot cover back on ;)

    Front brake lever bolt

Thanks for the quick response guys. I used a flathead bit in my impact driver, came right off :D Thanks again!

    Front brake lever bolt

I'm trying to swap levers and the bolt seems to be stuck. Am I missing something? The nut came off just fine, but I feel like it shouldn't be this hard to get the bolt out. I've tried using a flathead, tried tapping carefully / gently on the underside of the bolt with a hammer, even tried...

    Magazi round black mirrors

Thanks mwrenn! Just took it for a spin. It sure seems like it made a difference to the look of the bike, 3 people took the time to roll down their windows at stoplights and tell me what a nice bike it is.. the first one not even 60ft from my driveway! lol. I mean I get comments all the time on...
