Gearbox Oil Change - Fluid Color?

It was a quick drain...so i'm gonna say it was moisture contamination. Like I said earlier...it had been sitting all winter and I didn't get it nice and hot before fluid change as I had the bike down for other maintenance.

Gearbox Oil Change - Fluid Color?

Ok....I'm assuming that the moisture just accumulate from atmosphere via the gearbox breather vent and I hadn't take the bike for a good run to vent it off. I should know better from my years of dry sump oil tanks sitting through a cold season. Regards, Joe

    Grrr....Valve Clearance

Got intakes all adjusted to .15mm(in)/.20mm (ex).....engine cold as can be. I assume the valve train will be a little louder since all of them were extremely tight (.1-.11mm). Be a while till I'll know as I need to order a Demand Sensor to fix my P0155 issue. Unless I find a smoking gun with...

    Grrr....Valve Clearance

Glad I'm doing a full service myself before riding much this year. Decided to check valve clearance while doing full fluid changes. Bike has maybe 20k miles on it...I think dealer checked valves about 7K miles ago. I know the clearances are .15mm - .2mm ....Bike is Dead Cold....sitting for...

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

I kid you not, I'd pay for copies of those videos with English Subtitles. I just verified again today via GuzziDiag that my error is still the P0155. Time to fix it. Shopping around for the Demand Sensor now to purchase and finally fix this issue. The video is interesting because it seems...

Getting the "SERVICE URGENT" error code

I have a very similar situation as what you are experiencing. Funny enough I've lived with it for a couple years. I'm giving up and taking to a shop in a few weeks to fix for good. I do all my own wrenching on my old bikes...but this one I'm gonna have a shop do it....I'm guessing most have...

Strange Starting Issue - Weak Battery?

hahaha...thats great! But it way oversells the power of a Honda 90

Strange Starting Issue - Weak Battery?

Hey Kev...I fully follow your thinking, but gets difficult because it will start 7 out of 10 times. Not consistent. So difficult to judge via the tricks you mention. At the moment before digging in super deep I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and take it to a shop. I already know I'm...

Strange Starting Issue - Weak Battery?

Hey Dave...Yep, seems thats the conclusion for the P0155. The intermittent start issues are still occurring. Never left me stranded, but happened off and on the last few days during a couple hundred mile road trip. Heres a short clip I took after coming home. Doesn't matter if the bike is...

What Error Code were you getting for this?

Strange Starting Issue - Weak Battery?

Hey Dave...I did not see any codes. I am still having my intermittent urgent service error when turning the key on. But this is mostly resolved by keeping the bars straight ahead when turning the key on. I'd love for it all to be the clutch switch...but I doubt I'm that lucky. Last I checked...

    Cracked rack

Just had my Hepco Becker rack fixed today....Weld broke on the center mounting bracket. Local guy cleaned it up and welded it for me. He also reinforced it with a secondary gusset welded underneath. Not likely to break again anytime soon.

Strange Starting Issue - Weak Battery?

Strange occurrence today on my '14 Cali. Bike was sitting in the sun all day behind my garage. Temp around 85F. No rain or moisture. Went to start the bike to go on a ride and had it in neutral. Held the starter button down and it seemed to try and start for 1-2 revolutions and just stop...
