V7 Charging issues / Dead battery -- PLEASE READ

Sorry, not actually burned up. It was down to 3v and wouldn't charge. At this point I'm willing to assume it died due to age and mismanagement by me. At the next service (first service) I'll have them check it.

    V7 GPS connection?!

Oh man, I know this is more of a necrothread than the last one I brought back from the dead but I figured I'd mention what I ended up doing. I left that wire alone, got an extension for the Battery Tender pigtail, and ran that from the pigtail on the battery up to my left handlebar. Then I...

V7 Charging issues / Dead battery -- PLEASE READ

Hi all, Found this thread after I started a thread wondering why I burned up a battery. TL;DR, maybe the VR, maybe bad management on my part. Here's the skip to the end highlight with follow up question: === The possibly bad news is, the multimeter is saying 14.99 at idle and 15.28 at 3-4000...

    V7 C-S Suspension Thread

Hi. I've had my V7R about 2 weeks and I've read a lot of these improved suspension threads. What I haven't figure out is what everyone is improving on. I've done about 120 miles so far and don't really see what the issue is. Is the stock too soft? Too hard? Too slow to rebound? Too...

    Save the Racers Tail

I bought the Racer over the other models for two reasons: 1. The price difference between a Stone and a Racer was about $1200 and between a Special and a Racer was $600. The upgrades on the Racer were worth well more than that alone. 2. It looks awesome. The Stone and Special are only...

How to remove clip-on inserts on V7R?

I bought the $11 rings and stuff packs and used the spacers. It works fine that way. Maybe one day I'll get different grips and move the whole grip and switches assembly out a bit to compensate for the gap.

    V7 GPS connection?!

Hi, On page CHAR-36 of this pdf https://www.guzzitech.com/phocadownload/v7_classic/v7-service-13.pdf one of the wires is labeled GPS. Does anyone know where this is and if it'll power a GPS?

How to remove clip-on inserts on V7R?

Hi, I just got a new V7 Racer. I want to install Rizoma Spy R mirrors but need to remove the insert in the clip-on that the bar end weight threads into. I briefly tried using a vice grip and that did nothing but strip off some paint. Does anyone know how to remove them?
