I also lowered my pegs but had problems with the kick stand hitting the shifter after shimming the kick stand down. I was having all kinds of problems shifting and even replaced the gear and trans oils then I saw a wear spot on the kick stand. Every time I looked at it I had the bike on the...
Spark Plug & Connector Question
I pulled the outer plugs and what do you think?
Anyone know what this connector is for? It fell on the garage floor while I was working on the bike.
My vin is ZGULPU0078M114305, not in the range of 112208-112309. Todd would it still throw the service light and low oil pressure even if you don't start the bike?
I own a 2008 Norge and that service light comes on about once or twice a week. When I look for a code I can't find anything. If I start the bike and the service light comes on I just let it warm up a bit and turn the engine off. Then I get on the bike and level it, restart the engine and most of...
Michael, that is what I am looking for to have them both the same type of plug. I can't seem to find both the inside and out side in iridium. Do you have the numbers for both in iridium?
For my 2008 Moto Guzzi Norge it looks like I have the following options.
OUTSIDE
Std outside plug PMR8B Laser Platinum
Outside performance plug TKTDSOK996
Outside plug Iridium not offered
INSIDE
Std inside plug BPR6ES
Inside performance plug SCMZDMN295
Inside Iridium plug BPR6EIX
:sweating:
I have my 2008 Norge up on my lift for some service and will be replacing those spark plugs. They sell a 360 degree electrode SCMZDMN295 that replaces the NGK BPR6ES and a TKTDSOK996 that replaces the NGK PMR8B. Has anyone tried these plugs out yet?
I also removed my charcoal canister and just connected the main line together and plugged the one that sucks air when the bike is running. Now I get the air rushing sound when I open my gas cap. I better look into this a bit more. I have a 08 Norge but this article interests me.
I have also had this happen but not on my Norge due to I don't use water anymore or very little when needed. What I did was to get my yard blower on low and took my seat off, then put air on all the wiring and anything that looked wet. Left the bike open and in the sun for a couple of hours and...
I have adjusted the lights on my Norge and still get flashed. 25 feet away and level is what I have always set my lights at. I purchased the bike used so I don't know what bulbs are installed but they are not HID. I had HID on my last bike and loved them. Never got flashed with the HID lights...
Ok reporting back on the fix. I put the Mistral exhaust on and my idle went up to 2,000 to 2,100 RPM's. I then checked the stepper motor working correctly, not the clutch switch, not and air leak, not the sacred screw, not the throttle bodies it was the EVAP system. I took the top line off the...
Ok I read it again and if someone totally blocked the stepper motor don't you think it could be something else? What do you mean if I don't want to read what is above? This type of menu is for people to share with others the problems they have had and the fix to that problem. When I do find the...
Great looks like I am a lone on this one. The dealer doesn't know but they could start replacing parts until he gets it. Very expensive way to do things. The funny thing is it only idles at 1,800 RPM when you stop in gear with the clutch pulled in. If I put it in neutral and let the clutch out...
No I just purchased the bike and took it to the dealer who tried to fix it. They set the throttle bodies and the TPS new injectors flashed the ECU. Still runs the same. I think I will look at the stepper motor next.
