    Valve Clearance for Roller Tappets

Maybe because aluminum grows at a much higher rate, pushing the cam and rockers apart faster then the valve stem grows. Maybe. Maybe not. No reason the fiddle with the spec. Nothing to be gained.

    Total electrical failure.

Might be a ground issue, so it looks like more things are 'hot' because the ground has failed and is no longer pulling things to ground.

    Sudden power loss while riding.

Exact thing happened to my Centauro years ago. Odd feeling when it loses power like that. I drilled out the pressed in post and installed a stainless steel part. Not sure what the number was, it was so long ago. Actually, I found it in my records. Part number 2988K311 at McMaster Carr...

    Intake Manifold Removal

The TBs are linked together well enough that it should not disturb the balance when moved. You should be able to simply loosen the rubber manifold piece and get it back far enough to pull out the metal manifold. Are you sure that is where the air leak is? Hard to imagine.

    Wayne & Vicky Orwig Crashed!

Vicky has been in a coma. Yesterday she had a high fever. The stress made her breathing stop. While doing CPR, her heart stop and she has passed. After 43 years of friendship, married for 41, this hurts, a lot.

Help - Sound cylinder left Stelvio 2008

The timing and mixture changed. If I recall, the roller map is a bit leaner near closed throttle, and a bit richer at higher cruising speeds. I may have the wrong, but I think that is right. My (2009 single lambda) flats with the original map ran well. The flat mapping with rollers ran poorly...

    Engine swap: A8 into 09Stelvio (A5)

I am curious to know what the noise is.

Stelvio roller cams which year ?.

Before you sign for anything, have a look under the valve cover no matter WHAT year. It is easy to do. If it is flats, assume that upgrade cost into the deal.

Wiring in an aux fuze panel

My accessories are all in the front. I put the relay in the front, with the coil attached to the 'pilot light' bulb in the headlight which comes on with the key.

    guess that noise....

That sump spacer is used in the 2V Lemans, Sport and 4V Centauro. That thermostat was used in those bike, and altered the flow to where the cooler was attached. It might apply to the 2V Griso with the cooler attached to the sump spacer. Even if it was in the 8V Stevio sump, it wouldn't do...

    Leaking Spoke

My thinking is that a retorque might seat an o-ring that is a little loose. Or it might damage one more if there is a burr on the metal. You never know. But a spoked wheel should be inspected and retorqued occasionally no matter what.

Vib fix for Stelvio mirrors with signals

Sorry. Low quality junk, as Lannis said. The hollow stems that carry the wires is too flexible, and one issue. The loose bulb sockets and reflectors inside that can move around a bit is and issue.

    Tappet...

Note that the cam upgrade kit does NOT include the rocker are and adjusters. You reuse the adjusters and rockers. So if you have a bad adjuster, you still need to get that fixed.

    Engine swap: A8 into 09Stelvio (A5)

My 09 was making a little deep down noise at idle when hot, after eating a flat tappet. I plastigaged the big ends and everything measured fine. But, the bearings had a 'pitted' appearance, so I replaced them. No more noise. And the plastigage had the same measurements on the new bearings.

2009 Stelvio, after warm up idling on what feels like a single cylinder

Have you checked the throttle body balance? Have you tried to clean out the stepper motor passages? When it is idling on one cylinder, shut if off and pull the plugs nd inspect the ceramic. Sounds like you a bum driver or cable. If BOTH grips aren't heating, odds are, BOTH wires or grips are...

    Clicking on start up

Mine, and from what I understand most, have that rattle for a couple of seconds as the cam chain tensioner pumps up.

How to properly re-install right exhaust header w/new gasket to mid-pipe?

I have an old huge screwdriver. Gently work it back and forth in the slot and slowly pry it. That has always expanded them enough for me. It doesn't need much. And there is a much cheaper Kawasaki gasket that fits it too.

    ECU unplugged

That capped off plug is likely for ABS, which I'm sure your 09 does not have.

    What is this!

The timing sensor is just ahead of the left cylinder up there. It isn't unusual for those to leak. If you pull it to seal it and replace the oring, keep in mind that it is shimmed. You want to put it back with the same shims. The front cover has a hole up there used for venting on the Norge and...

    Wiring in Hyperlights

The Stelvio taillight uses seperate LEDs, so you don't need the diode like you do on the Norge and Breva. I don't recall what the wire colors where. I just loosened the light fixture, measured the wires with a meter, and wired it in. From the schematic it looks like green is hot, and blue is ground.
