    12 volt power socket

I can't imagine why they would make it 5 amps, that makes it pretty useless.,i'll probably unplug the front one next time i,have the fairing off. I only use the under seat one to charge usb power banks for when I'm camping.

    12 volt power socket

Neither mentions this fuse block at all. I found the info on advrider, and when I checked, sure enough #7 was blown.

    12 volt power socket

Turns out, there is a fuse block right behind the headlights, left side of the center frame. Trouble is, even tho the socket is marked 180 watts, it's actually a 5 amp fuse.

Ouch !! Have You Felt How Hot The NTX's Hella Fogs Get?

I took mine off today. The left has stopped working. The right had a broken mount but still turned on. Both showed signs of wear in the wiring. I think I am going to install highway pegs in that location and use the fork mount shown above for the fog lights. Might just try some cheapo leds to start.

    12 volt power socket

I apologize if this has been posted before but I haven't been able to find it. I have a 2014 Stelvio. I plugged an air compressor into the 12 v socket, it ran for a second and quit. The compressor still works in my honda, so I assume I blew a fuse. However I cannot find any reference to that...

    Stelvio Handle Bar Vibrations Cause

I took the highway pegs off pretty quick, they were ugly chrome things off a Valkyrie. I only put them on to see if I wanted them, I'll pick up some black ones in the spring. But still the vibration is a lot better since I tightened the bolts.

    Stelvio Handle Bar Vibrations Cause

I also added some highway pegs someone gave me, they probably weigh 2 pounds apiece as they are from a Valkyrie. I expect that changed the resonance of the bars too. I will replace them with black once I decide if I like having them or not.

    Stelvio Handle Bar Vibrations Cause

I also had the same thing. Syncing the throttle bodies helped some. I just checked all the mounting bolts. On the bottom there are two bolts, one goes through the mount for the bash plate, but the one right next to it was loose. I was able to turn it one handed with a tiny 1/4 inch ratchet. So I...

    Mirrors

My father in law has a set of mirrors for me and MPH will send me the new turn signals next week. I was not even mad since I wanted to change them anyway. And we got to see bears on the trip.

    Mirrors

Last Saturday I left home for a trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just north of Knoxville on the Interstate my right side mirror broke loose, and after a little flapping the wire broke and it was gone. I was riding with a group so I could deal with the loss of the mirror, but the bulb warning on...

    Stelvio on the Gap

I'm going to do this same thing in about 2 weeks, starting from Ohio. Hopefully it won't be too cold.

My wife and my Stelvio on our first overnight trip. On the ferry across the St. Clair River, Marine City Michigan to Sombra Ontario.

    Maps

Not the fuel kind, but rather the paper kind. I'm wiring up a GPS this weekend as I just got the cable, but i prefer a paper map and like to write directions on an index card. But I have no place to put it. I've always used a magnetic tank bag but not now. Everything else that I carried in...

    New Stelvio

Thanks, I've noticed the engine starting to smooth out a little after only 350 miles. My only real concern is that rough spot around 35k and I think maybe I'll even get used to that. I've got the cables on order so I can do the TPS reset. I think I'm going to try just modifying the edge first...

    New Stelvio

Thanks, I will look more closely. I also want to make sure that I understand the TB sync. I will probably use a manometer as it seems simplest and cheapest, but I'm a little confused where to connect the tubes. Is it the banjo fitting where the charcoal canister connects or is there a different one?

21st Ohio Plain and Casual Rally

I live not far away. I can't spend the weekend but thought I might come over for a few hours. Are there any special events scheduled? Also, if anyone is interested in primitive weapons etc. there is an event at Flint Ridge: 2015 Fall Flint Ridge Knap-In September 4, 5, 6. Lots of neat things to...

    New Stelvio

I wasn't going to buy a new motorcycle until next year, but my wife insisted. We just took a 2500 mile trip from Ohio to Louisiana along the Natchez Trace Parkway on a Triumph Bonneville. She told me she's had enough. So two weeks ago just looking for a place to ride to we went to the MG dealer...
